Freyr

God of Abundance and Peace

Yeah brother to Freya. But besides that, Freyr is the God of Fertility, Wealth, Abundance, rain, sunshine and peace.

Freyr is more about making the best of things such as brilliant summers, great harvests and bringing warmth to the land. Freyr even creates moderate winters that are not harsh but still provide the necessities of winter.

Despite being the God of Peace, Freyr is no slouch when it comes down to a fight. Freyr has earned his respect as a warrior by many of the war gods present in the Norse Pantheon. From Odin, Thor and Tyr he has earned there respects as a warrior when it comes down to it.

And again I do not claim to own any of the images presented.

Lore

Fate can be an usual thing. All things bend to fate eventually, such as mankind, monsters and even the divine. Some try to fight their fate but for nothing in the end. Others choose to accept the outcome willingly. But non do as much as Freyr the God of Abundance and Peace.

Freyr twin brother to Freya and son to Njord was gifted territory as did his sister when they were young. Freya got a location in Vanaheim while Freyr got Álfheimr an entire realm given to him.

Freyr kept to himself most of the time doing his duties as a God of abundance. Needlessly to say eventually Freyr learned of his fate, but took it well better then some of the other gods who learned of there fates at Ragnarok.

Freyr was fated to die to Surt the king of the Fire Giants with Freyr's old sword in Surt's hands. Freyr who will eventually give his sword away willingly for a hand in marriage to a beautiful frost giantess.

Freyr who like the others were prompted to meet their fates and prepare for them. But that is not the only thing that Freyr was prompted into, besides preparing for what will come. Freyr decided to make the most of not only his time but of everyone else's by doing his job more diligently as being the god of Abundance, Fertility, Wealth and Peace. Freyr from that point on made sure that every summer was a great one of abundance.

But now that the war between the different gods not only from Freyr's pantheon has escalated. But the World Tree Yggdrasil is unwell and new great beings emerging.

Freyr is needed more then ever to stop this conflict and restore Yggdrasil.

Freyr 101

Freyr is a god that assists his allies on gaining the most of what they can due to his living presence. Freyr a close corners god when in a fight due to his ability kits.

Items possibilities
HP5: Items that provide HP5 will not only keep Freyr in the fight for a bit longer but his allies as well due to his Brilliant Summer ability which heals gods equal to Freyr's current HP5. So items like Sovereignty or Stone of Gaia will make sure that Freyr's allies benefit more from his Brilliant Summer.
Cooldown: Having items that provide cool down will be essential in order for frequent uses of Freyr's abilities especially his Fertile Lands, so you can create a massive fertile patches in your lane.
Defenses: Generally a need for any Guardian but for Freyr it is more important, since Freyr passive only works when he is alive along with his Fertile Land Patches. Items like Gaunlet of Thebes and Sovereignty will help along with fulfilling the possible items needs. Speaking of which.
Health: This is also a highly needed thing as well, not only to keep you in the fight but also to make you more difficult to simply get rid off and ruin Freyr's passive. Gauntlet of Thebes is a good option along with the possible Stone of Gaia depending on the situation of course.
Magical Power: Frankly this category is not a priority but still a must have, due to the fact that sometimes a good defense is a good offense. Items like Warlocks Staff, Void Stone and Tyrannical Plate Helm will help you to be that pesky semi un-killable over powered guardian that players both hate and love.

Pros
-Healing
-Extra Gold
-Locking down opponents
-Good Support
-Decent Single Target Damage
-Buffer/Debuffer
-Drawing Enemy attention away from squishy's

Cons
-No Escapes
-Little CC
-Only one long range ability (Ultimate)
-Very up and personal kind of god
-Target on his back (Due to his passive and Fertile Patches needing Freyr to be alive)
-Not much low cool down

Ability Discussion
Ability 1: Brilliant Summer / Moderate Winter is Freyr's healing, buffing and slow ability. Combine this with his third ability The Antler of Freyr and stay close to an enemy they will take considerable damage and be slowed as long as they stay in range. Yes this ability does switch on each casting similar to Arthur's.
Ability 2: Fertile Lands creates Fertile Patches as long as Freyr and his allies are within this will make it a little harder for enemies to harm allies, and make it so that the enemies have to focus on you rather then them. Due to the extra HP5 granted this helps Brilliant Summer's healing ability, it makes it even harder for enemies to pin you down, they will have two choices 1. Go after the allies and get rooted. 2. Attack Freyr who is healing himself, getting hit by allies and being slowed.
Ability 3: The Antler of Freyr, this ability enhances Freyr's attacks and offers a stun if used again before the duration is up. If combined with Brilliant Summer / Moderate Winter and if Freyr has a decent amount of magical power. This will make Freyr a walking hugging spiked wall, which will annoy the enemy team and possibly deal considerable damage ti squishy gods.
Ability 4: The Peace of Freyr is a good ability to start a fight with, especially around mid to late game due to the disarm which will provide a time for allies to take advantage off. Though there is a way for enemies to dodge this, that is by jumping over into an area already cleared of the waves of peaceful energy.

Ability Combos (Pretty explanatory)
Honestly I named most of them in the discussion section of the abilities. But the combo with the ultimate can work in two ways: One use it as a way to start a fight. Two use it during the middle of it to end the fight (preferably when a few other ultimates have gone off).
