Eternal Deed
After 4 successful basic attacks Izanagi Empowers. His next basic attack has a special power provided by one of his 5 children.

He can choose one of these power providers by returning to base or holding the recall button.

Tsukuyomi's Moon and Night Power: This empowered basic attack afflicts enemies with power of Tsukuyomi causing them to take %5 increased damage from all sources and enemies afflicted with the Power of Tsukuyomi, have decreased critical strike damage

Shining Light of Amaterasu: This empowered basic attack afflicts enemies with the power of Amaterasu. Izanagi gains movement speed while moving towards afflicted enemies. Also Izanagi's basic attacks have increased crit chance on the enemies afflicted with the Power of Amaterasu

Storm of Susano: This empowered basic attack creates a big hurricane knocking back all enemy gods excluding the enemy god who gets hit by this, creating a better 1v1 situation for Izanagi. Izanagi gains %5 damage mitigation for a duration for every enemy god he knocks back

Meditative State

Izanagi's soul leaves his body behind, gaining basic attack power. Soul's spawn location can be selected with this ability. When this ability ends or when you cancel this ability Izanagi's soul is forced back to his body. During this ability Izanagi's body is immune to all incoming damage and crowd control and cannot be moved, instead his soul form takes all the damage, crowd control and transmits the damage to his body after this ability ends. Izanagi cannot drop below 1hp from this damage.

Izanagi throws his spear to his enemies. This spear can pierce through any target and roots enemies it hits.

Izanagi empowers, calls for the power of his children. His empowered basic attacks from his passive activate on 2nd hit instead of 4th during his ultimate ability. First empowered basic attack during his ultimate uses the power of all 5 children at once (this can only happen once per ultimate). He gains immunity to Crowd Control during his ultimate. Additionally if he drops below 1 health while his ultimate ability is still activated he can fight for an additional 3 seconds before dying.

Izanagi, as a Warrior, is expected to play the Warrior role in the Solo lane. He can also easily fit into Jungler role with his basic attack focused kit. His gamestyle focuses on his basic attacks and he is supposed to make some trouble for enemy damage dealers with his kit.

Who is Izanagi?

Izanagi is a prominent figure in Japanese mythology. He is one of the creator deities in Shinto belief and is often associated with the creation of the Japanese islands and the divine ancestors of the Japanese imperial family. According to mythology, Izanagi, along with his sister and wife, Izanami, were tasked with creating the Japanese islands and various kami (spirits or gods).

Izanagi's most well-known myth involves his journey to the underworld, Yomi-no-kuni, to retrieve his deceased wife, Izanami. During this journey, he encounters her and learns about the origins of death and impurity. This myth is significant in Shinto beliefs and rituals, as it relates to concepts of life, death, and purification. In summary, Izanagi is a central character in Japanese mythology and is closely associated with the creation of Japan and important aspects of Shinto spirituality.

GAMEPLAY FEATURES

Izanagi uses his polearm weapon when he fights with enemies. He has a unique basic attack chain doing a lethal move with his polearm on 4th hit as he empowers his basic attacks due to his passive power. He is a melee warrior
and he utilizes his basic attacks when he fights. I decided to give him a passive that is connected to his lore and other gods because he is the father of many gods we play in Smite and I preserved this fact by giving him a passive that shows the bond they have. He utilizes the power of his kids. He is a fearless fighter
and creater of many gods in Smite Universe. In his kit he has so much variety
and so many different options to go with.

    Izanagi is the father of:
Amaterasu, Susano, Raijin and Tsukuyomi.

Izanagi is also the husband of Izanami and both created the islands of Japan in the Shintoist creation myth.

Izanagi and Izanami's myth takes a tragic turn when Izanami dies while giving birth to the fire deity, Kagutsuchi. In grief, Izanagi journeys to the underworld, Yomi, to retrieve his wife, but he finds her there as a decaying and malevolent spirit.

SOURCES AND MY FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

For my concept this year, I chose Izanami's dear husband Izanagi. I think it would be a great addition to the game if we had Izanagi as a playable character. He is the father of many smite gods and there would be so many interactions among them. I tried my best to give him a unique kit and playstyle. SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
