Fenrir has good base damage, though his abilities don't scale to well. Even still, there are a few power items that might work, under the right circumstances of course.
|
Physical defense is a barrier that can be overcome by buying penetration items. Fenrir's natural base damage shines when you buy more penetration. Buying items in this section is usually always the safest bet, when learning the game.
|
If you want to last longer then 2 seconds on the battle field, without retreating or dying. Then I strongly recommend buying some defense items. Fenrir has to get close and personal to do damage, so naturally he is a huge target to the enemy team.

Also, can you rate my Arena auto based build? Warrior Tabi-> Jotunn's Wrath-> Mantle of Discord-> Stone Cutting Sword (at this stage for the movement speed)-> Rage (at this stage for the stacks)-> The Executioner->replace Jotunn's Wrath with wind demon
I used to build lifesteal as well, but there's just way too much going on in Arena. I found defense to benefit me much more than extra lifesteal.
Arena ends to quickly to warrant buying to many expensive items.
To be fair, I ONLY played arena for about 500 games. Before EVEN touching Conquest, so I'm not bashing. I'm just speaking from personal experience.
So I saw that you updated your guide so I decided to check it out. First things first, wow it looks stunning. The pictures and the skills section are very pleasing to the eyes. I like the color scheme of it as well. The design alone warrants an upvote from me.
I am not the biggest Conquest player so I am not sure on the impact of it, but with the recent increase in price of Shifter's Shield, would it be better to flip Hide of the Urchin and Shifter's Shield around or put in a damage item instead like maybe Heartseeker? With Hide you would lose some early power, but be able to gain more protections earlier on with the stacks and cheaper price so it would be online earlier, but you mention that this would really hurt his early game so I would lean towards a damage item. Granted it is only 150 gold more, so could go lean on some potions to make up for the price increase. Just curious on thoughts.
Other than that, I have nothing else for you besides AA build is to risky with him. I feel it would take a seasoned Fenrir player to use so you can utilize his lifesteal properly, but what if you got 1 defensive item for the Auto attack build? It would give some defense along with your lifesteal to be able to box. I just wouldn't know what you would take out since want 2 crit items, Executioner is your penetration. Dev is your lifesteal so I guess Qin's?
I'm very glad to hear you like the pictures, it took me a little while to make them. Though I hoped it wound entice people more. Thank you for the feed back, ill look to it later, have a great rest of your day.
@newb, I think the shifters 150 price increase isn't enough to... Shift it from being a good item in that space. In a conquest game, you're maybe talking 1 minute of playtime just in gold/min. If you get a camp or two, significantly less. The fact is it still gives a huge power increase, and significant balanced protections, and the increase just maybe brings it into better balance for the stats it brings... Maybe.
@Bran.. I saw what you did there.. 150 isnt enough to SHIFT it...smh
@Zodiak-Yeah, 1 defensive item in an AA build wouldn't help to much against a carry especially late game, but with an AA build with some lifesteal and 1 defensive item, I think you would be able to box a little bit while using Unchained Brutalize to either finish them off or escape. Unless you get swarmed then you are screwed.
Bumba's Mask(Sell after 4 item ), Warrior Tabi, Jotunn's Wrath, Void Shield, Executioner, Rage, Blood Forge.
I'm kinda new to Fenrir Mastery II and just wanted to make sure i was on the right track.
Zodiac hasn't been on for a few months now, so hope you don't mind me commenting, even though I'm not a Fen expert.
I do know that most people focus on maxing CDR, power, and pen, with perhaps 1 or 2 protection items depending on the situation.
Your build starts normally, but ends with items that aren't quite optimal...two or 3 of those items are really basic-attack items, and his effectiveness comes from abilities.
So...this generally means you'd get rid of The Executioner and Rage, and possibly Bloodforge, though that item CAN have some effectiveness due to the shield and the high power.
Core after the Bumba's start is Warrior Tabi, Jotunn's Wrath, and Titan's Bane, but you might delay Titan's until a bit later. If you're facing more physical threats, Void Shield or Breastplate of Valor might be purchased after Jotunn's Wrath...Void will give you more damage, but BoV is nice for the mana pool and, more importantly, maxing CDR.
If you don't get Breastplate of Valor, it opens you up to get Mantle of Discord for the balanced protections and the 15% CDR, and the passive can help when you jump into a fight.
Unfortunately, not sure exactly where the builds are going to go once S4 goes live (end of January for PC, another week or two after for consoles).
This is a pretty amazing guide, Only problem is the misspell of you're in a lot of sentences that should be your.
Lol yeah I'm not the best speller. I'll admit that.
