Overview

I'm going to keep this guide short and sweet until I play her more to understand her gameplay. I'll explain briefly why I chose what I chose.

First of all in the skill sequence. You want your Rune of the Hunt maxed ASAP. YOUR DOG IS LIFE. YOUR DOG IS DEATH FOR THE OTHER TEAM. Next I would upgrade Permafrost because its a skill that can be used to get yourself out of sticky situations and decent amount of damage with a slow effect. I upgrade Piercing Cold last because Skadi's early game is weak and the range of Piercing Cold isn't that far. You want your eternal Dog spirit thing to take all the damage while you "chill" in the back.

Next I'll explain why I chose the gear. Most people go for attack speed Skadi because of what is recommended in the store. That is a no no people. Attack Speed is useless if your doggy is attacking fast but dying faster. ATTACK POWER IS EVERYTHING FOR SKADI. Kaldr benefits from your attack power. Thats why it is very necessary to get Transcendence and Devourer's Gauntlet. Frostbound Hammer is also a must. You need it to chase down kills and to get out of inconvenient situations. Also just get warrior's tabi, don't get ninja's tabi, once again attack speed is a waste of time on Skadi.

The way you're going to play this build goes like this.

Situation: Lane against Loki/Ao Kuang
Use Piercing Cold and Autoattack To Clear Lane
Stay Behind Minions or Tower Camp
Wait Until Loki/Ao Kuang gets aggressive
When this happens you can pop your Ult on them and sic your dog on them
or just use Permafrost to slow them and sic your dog and them and kill them

Thats the only situation I'm going to explain for now until I play her more.

But basically only send your Dog out in Team Fights or for guaranteed kills. Now when I say a guaranteed kill I don't mean a Ymir with 15% health left thats sitting near a tower. Only someone that is out of position.

This is all for now. I will come back and edit this.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
+Incredible Damage
+Can Solo Towers without minions
+Great for Cleanups and Ambushes
+Great against stealth characters (Ao Kuang/Loki)
+Kaldr hits hard at max stacks of transcendence and devourer's gauntlet
+Strong Endgame

Cons:
-Squishy
-No Escape
-CCs are a pain
-Odin is your worst Nightmare
-A decent Sobek is too
-Very Weak Early Game

You overestimate Kaldr, The Winter Wolf ability... You will always get outboxed from a potent enemy Hunter. The Winter Wolf takes damage from BOTH abilities and AA's.It is very easy to bring those 5 points of life to zero...

No definitely you do not want to max your 2: Rune Of The Hunt 1st,you only need to get it on rank one just before your ultimate: Winter's Grasp, for utilizing more potently Kaldr's dash:
When the Wolf leaps to the target, then you cast your Ultimate.

Secondly,I am fed up arguing with newcomers who thing they discovered the All Powerful Smite Truth on Builds (APSTB in short).

Get it inside your head you and every one else who makes Hunter Itemization guides without penetration items.

PENETRATION IS CORE!!!
IT IS MANDATORY NOT OPTIONAL!!! NEVER OPTIONAL!!!

The only time a penetration items is optional is when someone is like:"Hmmm should I get The Executioner or Titan's Bane, especialy now after they nerfed the 1at one which gives only percentage penetration:8% per staack, max 4 stacks=32%,after the 4th consequtive hit and for 3 sec's only, while The Hammer gives 33% penetration to both abilities and AA's,from the 1st hit"...

Speaking on the matter,if one can source the lack of attack speed from elsewhere (only one or not at all crit items),then it seems now that the Bane is getting some more love than the Axe...

Oh and don't forget to mention the double stacking issue:It stopped being a favorite alternative for Hunters Seasons ago...

Read more other guides from the pro and try to add some BBCoding and some gameplay, lane fasing general tips on Conquest, etc.

First of all if you didn't read what said, this guide isn't complete. 2nd of all, I know that Kaldr takes damage from both Abilites and AOEs and he can be CCed as well. That's why you don't send your pet in all willy nilly just to get all his hit points taken away unless you have your Ultimate which now that I say it I should've included that in the guide. You do want to max your 2 for several reasons. At rank 3, when Kaldr get a kill whether it is a minion kill or a God Kill he regains hitpoints. This is vital to Kaldr's uptime. Rank 5 Not only does Kaldr's attacks increase your movement speed by 10% but also Kaldr's basic attack damage is 100% EQUAL to your basic attack damage. Thats why Power is so vital for Skadi. The problem is I don't think Kaldr benefits from anything else besides the Power, Attack Speed, and Movement Speed that Skadi has. And for penetration I'm having trouble deciding between Jotuun's Wrath and other penetration items. I forgot to mention Penetration is mandatory but I find good results with other penetration items as well. I personally go for Jotuun's Wrath because I prefer cooldown reduction. And yeah I do need to learn coding

Sorry, but dislike. You didnt even write is it for solo or adc. Looks like for solo but then how r u going to clear lane? With autos? Against loki it is ok, but what will u do against potent solo laner like warrior? U will either die or stay under the tower and lose farm. Your item build is also not good. Without attack speed u wont have potential for bruise, every missed auto will cost u a lot. And no late game items. U need to work a lot on this build to my mind

Lemme explain this better. Your dog is your main source of damage. You clear lanes using your 1 and 3 if there is no god capable of killing you very quickly nearby. This is a general build for ADC Skadi but can also be used for solo lane. It doesnt matter how many auto attacks you miss honestly as long as your dog is alive you won't miss a beat in damage
