Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. even in Dota or LoL this is possible. Even in some RPG it's possible.
So that player is pretty stupid. However I have seen people whine about something like that when it was a support that killed them (while a support like fenrir etc. one that can deal damage if build bruiser killed them 1v1)
