Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

1) Get boots. Movement speed is an important stat.
-Helps you get from A to B faster
-Helps you evade more effectively
-Helps you retreat
You want HP? Get Reinforced Shoes
2) Remove the Stone of Gaia and Mail of Renewal.
Stone of Gaia is OK in Assault, but I just don't see it being viable outside.
Mail of Renewal is a really bad item right now. It's passive is very lacking.
To recap:
Reinforced Shoes first item
replace Stone of Gaia with Gem of Isolation
replace Mail of Renewal with Midgardian Mail
This should still preserve most of your original build
But now I will ask a serious question. What makes Stone of Gaia more attractive over other items?
BoV, Void Shield, Runic Shield, etc?
Also, since the pen changes were more favorable for burst champs (assassins gaining easier access % pen), HP gained more favor over high amounts of prot (as HP is not affected by diminishing returns).
