Hey! I'm a (currently) gold 3 jungle and solo main. I never actually played Fenrir a lot, but when I played him, I thought he was a lot of fun. And now with the giveaway coming up, it made me realise I should really make a guide :P! |
Fenrir
Fenrir is a physical assassin. He has 2 'leaps' (I like to call it 1,5 leap since Brutalize isn't a leap), giving him a lot of mobility. He has built in sustain with Seething Howl and an ultimate forcing the whole enemy team to buy Purification Beads. |
Starting Items

'The' jungling item. It gives you the sustain you need to stay in the jungle as soon as possible. Bumbas Mask vs Deaths Toll

|
Essential for every jungler. Not only do you get extra clearspeed, you get a midcamp secure and later on you get a stun or FG/GF secure. |
Early Game
|
A very standard item. There are 3 reasons why you would want to get this and not something else. First one being that you get extra movement speed. Every god gets boots early. If you don't, you'll be a lot slower and it will be a lot harder to chase a god. Second reason is that you get extra penetration, increasing your damage a lot. The last reason is very obvious; you get power! More power = more damage = more kills = more gold = more power!

One of the best item on most assassins and warriors. Fenrir has pretty high cooldowns. 15 and 14 seconds for your most important skills is a lot. 25% CDR helps a lot. With the extra mana you get you'll be able to stay in the jungle for longer, which means you have more time to get kills. You also get some penetration, which (again) will increase your damage a lot.

A very good item, but only if the enemy team has 4+ physical gods. Yes you could buy it if there are 3 physical gods on the enemy team, but there are just way better choices. The physical power is meh, and so is the passive. The physical protection is good though and that's why you get it where there are 4+ physical gods on the enemy team. |

I think this is one of the best items in the game. Get this when there are 3 physical or magical gods on the enemy team. When you're above 50% health, you get 60(!) physical power. That's higher than Deathbringer or Malice. When below 50% health, you get 35 magical and physical protection, which isn't great, but it's definitely something. |

This is the item that was just introduced, and it's very good. Get this when you're up against a 4+ magical team. When fully stacked it gives you 50 physical power, 50 magical protections and 15% CDR. It finished your CDR and is a very good item, but I prefer Shifter's Shield. |
Mid Game

A very good penetration item. It's very straightforward and even gives some power. With Titan's Bane you'll be ripping through protections.

You can also get this item. It's better than Titan's Bane, but only if you can auto attack 3 times before you use Brutalize. I like Titan's Bane more since it's guaranteed penetration. If you need to auto attack, you give the enemy time to escape. This item is good against enemies without escape.

Usually an item for a tank, but if there are 4+ mages, it will make them do almost no damage to you! Since you're fairly squishy lategame, this will make you less squishy. Remember, only get this when there are 4+ gods with magical damage. |

This is the best defensive item in the game for non-tanks. It gives 65 physical and magical protections when fully stacked (that's more than Bulwark of Hope!) and some health and mana. Definately get this when the teams are balanced. |

Again, an item primarily for tanks, but when there are 4+ physical gods on the enemy team you need some extra physical defense. |

A great defensive item, but not really needed. I'd only get this when you didn't buy Greater Purification as an active.

If you did buy Purification Beads, get this item for that last extra damage. It finished your CDR and gives you a welcomed power boost. But you're doing it for the damage. Let's say you have the recommended build and are level 20. You deal 294 damage with your auto attacks. Half of that is 147 which you'll do extra because of Hydra's Lament. That may sound like not a lot, but it does make an impact.

This is your penetration item. The extra 20% attack speed helps you utilise the lifesteal from Seething Howl more and it helps you build up runes. It's your only attack speed item since your attack speed scales really well without attack speed so you'll end up with a pretty high attack speed even with only one attack speed item.[/spoiler] |

Works really well with attack speed. In this build we don't focus on the power from Brutalize, and raw basic attacks don't give enough damage. Simple solution: get Rage! |

So now you've got 30% crit chance which can lead up to 80% if you auto attack 5 times. This is not a lot. You get some crit chance which helps a lot. You also get a power boost which will increase basically everything. So you've got more crit chance and you crit more often, now with the passive of Deathbringer your crits do devestating damage. |

A good passive when utilized correctly. Always try to have this fully stacked when going into a fight so you get extra bonusses. I will discuss when and how to use every skill with full runes below. |

In my opinion, one of the best jumps in the game. It deals a lot of damage and gives a 1 second stun with 5 runes. Attack with this first, after your team has initiated. Otherwise the whole enemy team will focus you and you'll be dead very quickly. You can however, engage in a 3v3. As a matter of fact, I advise you to do that since it's very easy to isolate someone with the 1 second stun. Keep in mind that if you use this move, it's gonna be a lot harder to escape so keep an eye out for other enemies. Around level 11 you can use this for clearing and save Brutalize. When you hit a god with this ability, it halves the cooldown. With CDR this ability will have around a 6 seconds cooldown so you can jump in, Brutalize and jump back out! |

A very good steroid, giving you huge amounts of lifesteal and power. Use this before you jump in with Unchained for that extra power or when you need health. You can use this to solo the gold fury as well. At level 20 you can even solo the Fire Giant (with full items). |

Brutalize |
'The' Fenrir move. Love it or hate it, it's a great move with a lot of damage. You stick to your target for 4 attacks, but it's canceled by jumps or leaps (so not Special Delivery or other dashes!). Use this for clearing with full runes untill around level 11, where you can clear with Unchained and your auto attacks. Use it on the middle harpy with 5 runes to clear very fast and finish the harpies off with auto attacks. More about Brutalize is in the FAQ. It's very important to focus on one target, which should be fairly easy since you stick to the target. Also keep in mind that you can cancel the attacks by pressing right mouse button. If you're using Brutalize on someone, and you see an Ymir coming your way, he's probably going to use Frost Breath and that will most likely get you killed. |

A great ultimate, but it's countered by beads. You can use this to set up kills by dragging an enemy into a friendly ultimate or just to drag the enemy under tower. Never grab a tank, unless you're sure you can kill him. He's tankiest and you shouldn't wast a lot of skills on him. With 5 runes, you get double protections. This isn't so useful late game as it is early game, since you're a lot squishier late game so pay attention to that. Don't be afraid to use it as an escape, as it provides CC immunity. |

StartIf the solo lane is on the right, start by soloing red buff. After that, meet your solo laner at mana buff. Watch out for invades! Then, go to lane until level 3 or 4. Then take the small harpy camps. If you have enough time to get speed buff before going to the mid camps, get speed buff. Gold Fury side If the solo lane is on the left, start by clearing the speed and mana camp. Then go to lane (tip: try and stand in the jungle when the wave is cleared, you'll get some MP5 from Bumba's Mask) until you hit level 3 or 4. Then repeat what I said above. |

Gank - For gods with escapes

Fenrir isn't great in teamfighting. You're the 'clean-up squad' and you pick or retreating enemies. You isolate carries by using your ultimate and you pressure them as much as you can by fighting them. Be sure to use Seething Howl to heal back a lot of the damage you receive. If you think you'll die or take a lot of damage, just retreat and wait for another oppertunity to attack. It's better that you don't die and don't get a kill than that you do die and feed someone. Brutalize with full runes also gives AoE damage, which wasn't really useful for ganking, but since a lot of gods are close to eachother, it's very useful here. Just be careful to not get CC'd while using Brutalize and only use it when your team has already engaged. When being chased, you can retreat by using Unchained and Brutalize for an extremely quick escape.

Build/Items: I've rarely seen and never played Bruiser Fen, so I can't really comment on this. However, since Ancile is a new items and Smite has atrocious balance, I'm just going to assume that this build works. However, I will probably comment on this guide once I tried the build.
Skills: Good explanations, but I think it's a little incomplete. For example, it's often possible to initiate a fight as Fenrir, especially with a bruiser build, either by stacking five runes and charging the enemy team while ulted, or by stunning most of their team and then ulting immediately for CC immunity. Stuff like that.
Same for the skill combos. You need to realize that hitting with the stun is incredibly important because otherwise, the enemy Scylla or Agni will just run away with their near-instant escapes.
Gameplay: Honestly, the only things useful here are the teamfights. The timed sections feel like generic advice, "farm and stay alive," etc. A dueling section or something like that would be better, or maybe a section on 5v5 teamfights, 2v2 teamfights, etc. Fenrir is literally Early Jungling: the God, and so I think you should go a bit more into depth into that.
For example, level 1 or two teamfights. Invasions. 2v2 fights at mid camps. Etc.
Overall: This guide has potential, but you could definitely put more work into it. I'm not gonna downvote, but I'm not going to upvote, either.
