Abilities

Abilities

Swift as the Summer Storm - Passive

For each trained Ability that is on Cooldown, Susano gains bonus Movement Speed.
Speed Per Stack: 4%

The passive is pretty self explanatory, the more abilities you have on cooldown, the faster you'll be, up to 16% increased movement speed. While escaping from a tight situation you might consider using some abilities to get the passive effect.

Storm Kata - First Ability

Susano moves thrice in quick succession; after each attack he has up to 3s to fire the next one.
First Attack: Attacks all Enemies in a cone.
Second Attack: Attacks all Enemies in a circle.
Third Attack: Dashes forward.

Damage Per Hit: 70/105/140/175/210 (+90% of your physical power)
Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Mana
Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 seconds

This ability exists of three parts. After each part you can choose to cancel the ability or continue.
The first stage will be a cone attack that hits all enemies in front of you. Following you will do damage in a huge circle around you.
This changes for the last stage, you will dash through enemies. Note that the last stage of the ability does no damage!
You can use other skills in between the different stages!!!
This ability can be used as an escape when cast fast.

View Ability

Wind Siphon - Second Ability

Susano commands the winds to blow, dealing damage in a cone in front of him.
Enemies in the center of the attack are pulled towards him.

Damage: 60/75/90/105/120 (+25% of your physical power)
Cost: 80/75/70/65/60 Mana
Cooldown: 18 Seconds

When casting this ability you will see a darker area in the middle of the cone. When hitting enemies in this area Susano will draw the enemy to him.

View Ability

Jet stream - Third Ability

Susano throws forward a gust of air which creates a whirlwind, dealing damage every .75s for 3s.
He may activate this ability again to teleport to the whirlwind.
If the initial gust hits an Enemy, the whirlwind surrounds and travels with them, and teleporting to the Enemy reduces this cooldown to 6s.

Damage Per Tick: 20/35/50/65/80 (+30% of your physical power)
Cost: 45/50/55/60/65 Mana
Cooldown: 17/16/15/14/13 Seconds

This ability is useful for chasing an enemy and for escaping. When you hit this ability on an enemy and reactivate it you will be teleported to the enemy you hit.
Note that this ability DOES NOT go through walls, make sure to remember this when trying to escape, or you'll find yourself dying nevertheless!

View Ability

Typhoon - Ultimate Ability

Susano summons a hurricane at his location that pulls Enemies towards the center while growing to up to twice its size.
Susano may activate this ability again to launch the storm in the direction he is facing, knocking up opponents in its path.

Damage: 175/225/275/325/375 (+140% of your physical power)
Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 Mana
Cooldown: 100 Seconds

So basically this ability is just a huge AOE-skill. You can wait for when all enemies are pulled into the middle or you can quickly reactivate the ability to launch the Typhoon immidiatly.

Skill Leveling Sequence

Skill Leveling Sequence

You have to have at least one point in every skill when hitting level 5.

You want to be leveling your Storm Kata first. This will be your main damage dealing skill; it deals damage twice and has a huge AOE.

If you can't level Storm Kata anymore, going for Jet Stream is the best option. this skill has an incredible scaling (+120%). Jet Stream will do more damage than your ultimate, because it's damage per tick also scales.

We finally get to max out our ultimate, Typhoon. We will be using Wind Siphon mostly for sticking to our target, and thus we'll level it last.

Skill Combos

Skill Combos

Depending on the situation you're in, you might have to use different skill combinations.

Farming

When you're in lane farming, Conquest solo lane and Joust 3v3, you want to use your Storm Kata twice, while standing in front of the lane for the first stage, and moving more to the middle for the second stage. Then you might want to cancel the third stage and AA any minions that might still be alive.
If you would rather play safe you might want to make it easier for yourself by starting the combo with Wind Siphon, pulling all archers towards you.
Another option is casting Jet Stream on the archer minions and using Storm Kata on the others.

Escaping

You want to make sure that you use Jet Stream first, when you're trying to escape a deadly situation. Why?
Because the dash on Storm Kata is the THIRD stage of the ability, meaning that it would take longer to get your Storm Kata off compared to Jet Stream, though the difference is minor. After having cast Jet Stream, you have to use Storm Kata three times, spamming the left click.
At this point you will allready have travelled quite the distance. Because Jet Stream and Storm Kata are now on cooldown, you will have 8% increase movement speed from you passive Swift as the Summer Storm.
You may want to use Wind Siphon to increase the passives stacks to 3, though casting the ability may slow you down.

Chasing

There are quite a lot of options when it comes to chasing an enemy. The combo that I find most useful is written below.
With this combo I get the most damage out of my skills. Starting with Jet Stream and reactivating it to teleport to the enemy, decreases the cooldown of Jet Stream to 6 seconds. When you're near the enemy you get the chance to hit the first two stages of Storm Kata. In between the second and the third stage, you use Wind Siphon to pull your enemy back to you. After that you can choose to cast the third stage of Storm Kata or cancel it and just AA.
After doing the whole combo your Jet Stream should be off cooldown allowing you to teleport to the target again.

Bluestone Pendant Vs. Death's Toll
In my opinions, Bluestone Pendant would be much better for Susano since you're using abilities a lot; when clearing wave, when attacking,... In conquest Death's Toll might give you more sustain, but in joust it's next to useless, since the mage should be clearing wave as much as possible. If you wait long enough between the different stages of Storm Katana, your bluestone will hit twice, doing a total of 60 extra damage.

Core

Well, every god needs a pair of boots, otherwise your feet might hurt after a while!

I choose Warrior Tabi over others since we'll allready have enough attack speed from other item. Also 20 Physical power > 15% attack speed.

Jotunn's Wrath is a very useful item. It grants you a lot of stats, which are very useful for you in the early game. For example the 150 mana and 20% CDR allows you to use your abilities more frequently, and you will run out of mana less quick! The power and the penetration also help out quite a bit.

2440g

2600g
If you won't be spamming your abilities as much, you might considering getting Transcendence. The passive increases your physical damage by a good amount.

Third Item

1700
Ichaival is useful when you're boxing an enemy, as it reduces the physical power they get from items, while increasing your physical power up to 30.
On the side you gain another 10 physical penetration.
Get this item when the enemy doens't have a tanky composition nor a healer.

Brawler's Beat Stick can come in handy when the enemy team has a healer. Their healing will be reduced by 40% most of the time while you're fighting them since Susano has low cooldowns nd he has a DOT, Jet stream.

2400g

2700g
When fighting an enemy with a lot of HP (enemies that build warlock's sash for example) Qin's Sais will help you out a lot. Not only do you deal your normal AA-damage, on top of that you'll do 4% of their total HP in physical damage.
Qin's Sais on is a good item on it's own and also synergyzes with Titan's Bane
Qin's Sais also grants 40 physical power, which increases the damage of your abilities even more.

Fourth Item

2150g
In between casting different skills you will be auto attacking quite a lot. Hydra's Lament grants your next AA, after you've used a skill, 30% increased damage. You basically wanna try to auto attack after each skill you use to get the passive effect of this item.

Asi is an item that will give Susano all the stats he needs; attack speed, lifesteal and lifesteal. The passive of Asi allows you stay alive longer in a fight. Whereas Hydra's Lament gives you a lot of damage potential, Asi will give you more sustain due to the lifesteal.

1780g

2850g
When Susano will be released, Bloodforge will get a new passive. You gain A LOT more physical power (+75). The passive underwent the biggest change. When you kill an enemy god you gain a shield that is equal to 200 + 10/player level and 20% increase movement speed for 20 seconds. This opens up an opportunity for diving towers. You can kill an enemy, have low HP and still get out safely, with a shield op 400HP at level 20.
Out of the three items, Bloodforge gives the highest sustain and damage potential since your abilities scale insanely from physical power.

Last Items

These items will be your fifth and sixth items. When you're full build, you should replace Ichaival by one of these items.

2250g
The Executioner is an item that shreds through the physical armor of susano]'s enemy, reducing physical defenses by up to 32%. [[The Executioner is great against enemies, who are little bit tankier. It grants you a lot for attack speed as well.

Stone Cutting Sword is good when you have to fight an enemy that is tanky, but still deals a lot of damage (physical), as it "steals" their defenses. Next to that you recieve more physical damage and 10% movement speed, increasing your mobility even more.

2900g

2300g
When you're getting one-shot, because you just don't have enough HP, get Frostbound Hammer.
It gives 400HP and makes Susano's basic attack slow the enemy. This, again, is good you're chasing an enemy, making sure to secure the kill.

Titan's Bane will give you a ton of penetration, however I do not recommend buying this item when you allready have The Executioner, since it'll just be overkill.
Titan's Bane has a great synergy with Qin's Sais; you will be shredding through the enemy tanks with ease.

2050g

Defense

As an assasin you might find yourself being quite squishy, this is no different for Susano.

2300g
Breastplate of Valor is an amazing item when it comes to physical defense. It also grants a nice chunk of CDR. You can choose to replace Jotunn's Wrath by Breastplate of Valor if you need to.

Hide of the Urchin is good when the enemy team has mixes damage dealers. The mana and health bonus you get will help you sustain in lane. Since you will be getting ganks from the mid laner and the jungler, you should expect to get some kills, getting the passive of Hide of the Urchin online!

2400g

2300g
Bulwark of Hope's passive can prove to be useful when you're in a tricky situation. I wouldn't buy this item when you allready have Bloodforge or the other way around.

Relics

Relics

Relics are very dependant on the enemy teams composition, below are two relics, which I think are ok when playing Susano
Purification
Makes you CC immune for a short duration. Good against enemies with a lot of CC (duh).

This item is solely for when you're playing Susano in the solo lane (conquest). You might want to get back to lane faster, then this item will be useful for not missing too much farm.
