To begin with buy the second tier item in the "Bancroft's Talon" tree, this will give you early 60 damage and somewhat decent lifesteal to help you stay in lane until you can upgrade it. Make sure to get the mana buff for extra mana regen early on.
This is the main order to purchase the items, depending on the situation. If you need earlier lifesteal exchange the Gem of Isolation for the Typhon's fang sooner. The Spear of Desolation and the Chronos' pendant will give you all the cooldown you need.
Depending on the enemy team or not, you can replace the Gem of Isolation with more penetration if need be from the Obsidian Shard. If you are getting stomped on by an assassin or ADC you can also replace the Gem of Isolation with the Dynasty plate helmet. It gives you a bit more defense and penetration than the Gem would give you, allowing you to survive longer.
For Relics you should use Heavenly Wings for your getaway, as Anubis has none, and Aegis Amulet for those near death experiences. However you can replace Aegis Amulet with Purification Beads depending on the enemy team. Another good one for Anubis would be the Horrific Emblem as this allows you to slow anyone near you for a getaway or for an easier wrap and 4 combo.

Anubis was one of the first gods that I had played to level 10 and had gotten Diamond Mastery in. Not only is he easy to pick up but if you can master how to wrap your opponent there are very few that can get away from your abilities, and with the right teammates with CC an Anubis can be unstoppable. Also be sure to go for the mana buff as soon as you can whenever you can.
To start off you want to focus on getting your Bancroft's Talon. This will not only increase your early game damage by 100 but will also increase your damage the lower health you get, which helps with Anubis' passive which does stack. Next you will want the Shoes of the Magi, this item will give you movement speed to get away when things are tough but also a decent amount of early penetration.
The third item you build will depend on the situation. If the team seems to be a lower threat and you dont see yourself being in trouble with lower health, you should go with the Gem of Isolation. This item will lower their movement speed when hit by your abilities and stacks with the slow from your 3, causing them to take an extra tick or two of damage. If you find yourself in a perilous situation where you need more lifesteal early on, build the Typhon's fang before the Gem of Isolation. This item when combined with Anubis' passive and the Talon will cause you to get from low health to full health from lanes, gods, and even jungle buffs, allowing you to stay in lane longer.
The last two items that help immensely both have cooldown reduction on them, as Anubis' abilities do have some lenghty cooldowns. The Spear of Desolation will give you a good amount of damage, penetration and cooldown which will help with a Warrior or Guardian on the enemy team. The final item to help you keep the pressure on the enemy would be the Chronos' Pendant. This gives you a large amount of cooldown and mp5 which is vital for late game situations against enemy gods, and can even be build earlier if you want to use your abilities more often.
I hope this guide helps you out! This is the build I always use and do very well with, and since this is my first guide leave some feedback if it helps you with your Anubis or not!
