Our roster:
After what felt (to me) like a slightly rough first 5 minutes (at around 4:20, the fun started, with Taco rotating to our lane but 2 of theirs rotating in also), things started looking up for us.
I still find myself wandering without purpose too much, and not dropping enough wards. Will probably continue to happen unless I play Conquest more. Oh well.
Solid games from everyone, though the competition was questionable...I outdamaged the enemy Hel, Ravana, and Ganesha, and was within 500 damage of outdamaging their Apollo.
And finally, I didn't need to die at the end...damn Taco kept wanting us to wait!!!
In Conquest, I like that I have to shift my focus to be more technical about things...I feel I have to be a lot more careful about things, have to be very specific about how I approach the early game, wave clear, and things like that. I still get a lot more nervous with Conquest than any other mode. Played a game last night with my nephew and Duotem. Definitely felt like higher level competition than what I'm used to.
Joust is 2nd in that department...it's focused enough that I feel I can work on some things...usually find myself on PC with Taco and GGF, and on PS4 with newbie and time2.
For other game modes, I feel pretty laid back, especially Assault (except last night, in a match with my nephew and we found ourselves against CycloneSpin, who was Jing Wei).
Anyway, you can get whatever you want out of the game. Some people get tired of it after a while, some don't like changes to their gods, whatever. I just go along with it all.
Also, I get really nervous playing with you, lol...don't want to let you down, and don't want to hear my nephew laugh at me. I think I was respectable that game, but still did some stupid stuff.
Actually...question. So, I was behind in levels (like I usually am), and needed some farm. Running back out from base, didn't specifically need to be anywhere (think most people were behind me or on the other side of the map), and no one else in the vicinity, I figured I'd take a jungle camp that was in my general direction. But even with level 5 clear, it still took a lot of basics, and I didn't have Bumba's Mask. Wasted probably 15 seconds on one camp.
In those cases, what should I do?
That game was fine like we all agreed, and everyone did stupid stuff. Trust me, if Nick laughs at anyone he does something just as dumb a few minutes later, which he then gets laughed at for.
If it's back harpies go for it. Otherwise you're gonna want help and should yell until someone helps you. Just soak waves in the meantime.
Nick is pretty dumb, isn't he? XD
KrakenKO (competitive player) was in that match. Ouch.
I'm really excited to hit the ground running on this site! You all seem very nice, and beyond helpful when it comes to Guides, Builds, and just life in general.
I'm an Xbox Player w/ about 750 hours of experience in Smite. Also, I'm working on a Guide right now, that I hope to have up soon, and actually contribute to the site!
Waiting for you to use a Gravatar!
Oh, I will have to consider getting a Gravatar.
Waiting for you to explain us what's a Gravatar!
(Hey Techno, look at that Cambridge semicolon)
Tell me ur secrets
This, my young pupil.
Have you seen the Gravatar site yet?
[VVGN] though.
Bernardo, for situations like this, I believe the way to tell whether you should use "I" or "me" would be to take out everyone but yourself, and see if the pronoun still works.
In this case, it would be "I" because..."for example, I have a custom avatar..."
If I were correcting Bernardo from a year ago (when he wasn't as familiar with English), I would have corrected it like this:
(The verb "have" in this sentence has both a subject and an object. "A custom avatar" is the object (what something is happening to), and I/me would be the subject (what is doing the action). "I" is used as a subject, and "me" is used as an object.)
I had assumed Bernardo knew about that already. Sorry, Bernardo.
But hey, that rule is similar to one we have in portuguese (eu vs mim), so I think it won't happen again.
Oh, and you mentioned the word "Bernardo" so many times. This must be grammatically wrong!!1!
I'm rather new here as well and I also feel the community is very nice.
Oh wait.
Good game though guys!
Make better sense now? LOL
Yes, that clears up quite a bit of confusion.
