The only thing I do hate is the sewers and... rats. Especially the swarms. It's just... stupid. When I see a place I want to go that only needs a rat. And the only rats I see is the swarm... ****ing hell, I don't even want to try to posses any of them. One or 2 together is fine. But a swarm...
I get scared easily. And with the music and dark areas just makes it worse. But I think I can handle it.
Also I just realized I'm very narrow minded. I posses a rat. Go through a hole. Then see that I could of just broken a window to get in... That has happened a lot.
This one time in "Return to Dunwall" After I got the Regent I didn't actually get rid of anyone outside or even got rid of the wall of lights. So what I did was right after I got outside I possessed then went through the first wall of light. Blinked 2 times. Then Possessed again to go through the other wall of light. Then right as I was at the dock place thing. I unpossessed right at the railing then jumped of into the water as the alarm rang. I just James Bond'd right there!
I just just realized. Bethesda sure likes their silent protaganists.
In low chaos, there are less rats and less Weepers. That makes life a lot easier.
Also, low chaos requires killing very few people. Remember that there is a non-lethal option for every target. If you want the good ending, then go for the non-lethal. They typically take more effort, but can prevent a lot of battles as well.
It's just me really, but almost every dark corner scares the hell out of me.
Does the hardest mode let Ai kill me when they see me posses someone? Because it's pretty stupid if they let me go and posses right in the middle of fight lol.
A nice thing about the GoTY version (I have that and the normal game) is that you get a pre-order package that has a bone charm that makes white rats friendly to you.
Don't worry about the music and the dark theme of a steampunk, late 1800's world. The game is AMAZING and is extremely fun to play.
Personally, I play Ghost style. No upgrades, no getting caught, no kills. I find it to be much more satisfying than turning Dishonored into a Brawler like SnubMachina does. Playing Ghost also gets you low chaos which put the ending much more in your favor.
If you need help with the game, I can help with strategy and what not. It is a difficult game (unless you play easy mode in which case stop playing right now). Truthfully, it's one of those games where I recommend all to play on the hardest game mode for the experience and for the better AI.
