Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

@Devampi, you've had toxicity in support?
fail XD.
well I have gone from 1 in the 20-50 games to 1 in the 20 (2 in 20 from my latest 20 games a guy blaming me when i played nem for first time and a guan who spammed sracastic vgs every time someone got melted) and then it's mostly the annoying sarcastic vgs stuff.
Also Rage I don't know on which servers of dota your playing but I haven't noticed a lot of toxic people except the RQ. That can be because we can play a drinking game for every russian we see on EU west (or spanish for US east). But in all of my 91 dota games I have encountered like 2 people that were flaming on their team. one was in my first 10 games when someone from dota 1 flamed me because I was doing terrible (go back to dota 1 then is what I told him) and the other was a sniper who DC and came back after 10 min and we sold his items (he left with his friends ending the me in a 2v5 win for me and all4).
The LoL is just spot on but has more toxic people but it also has a big player pool. I like it's spot on the chart.
and yes I would for sure swap dota and smite if we go and look at CQ. I have seen CQ going to 1 in 5 to 2 in 3 games with a toxic people and at this point I believe it's like 1 in the 10 games you don't have a toxic person. this comes possibly because of the shared MOBA and Shooter community.
@Zilby- I think you're right about the role idea. I was forced to play support and people would complain about me not ganking or helping them from the opposite side of the map.
DOTA2>LoL>SMITE
in dota2, even if everything goes good, people usually flames others or even trash talk with enemy team and many people even waste time by not destroying ancient
in LoL, not as bad but there are still blaming junglers, blame supports, etc
in smite, i think it is mostly because i play arena mostly now, but i think that many people in smite rarely get toxic because you can't see everything other people do and you still look like you're doing something because you will still get assist even if you only stand close
And mostly because someone randoms a character he plays for the first time. or Smite's awesome let's give you full mag/phys team or full mellee team, etc. And the other team has a good random (part of assault is luck on the randomming).
and fyi toxicity exist outs of the usual harassment but also about the (annoying) sarcastic VGS spamm (you die because getting chain stunned and then someone spamms you rock or great etc) only the RQ stopped more.
I'm not saying you should get blamed for doing these things, if one of my teammates is doing badly I don't BM, at the end of the game I'll just go VVGC and VVGG. If someone is BMing a teammate I'll tell them to lay off of them, and if someone BMs me I either ignore or mute them (unless they're offering me legitimate advice which is rare).
However, I have to say I don't see BM that often. Once in a while in a conquest match someone's a total **** so I mute him, but that's it. This may be because I partake in a decent amount of Assault, Siege and MOTD as well (the assault community is the best btw), or because I prefer roles where my teammates aren't as dependent on me (ie: solo/mid), or simply because I very rarely feed (I know how to turtle if I'm sucking).
Maybe it has been picking up since achievements were added (it's very possible), but maybe it's just been because of what games/roles you've been playing and how well you've been playing them. Just food for thought. Hope the toxicity you've experienced won't continue mate.
Smite can be extremely stressful to play sometimes, no lie.
