Regarding my Guides

guides
Sooo not that most people are keeping track but I'm still yet to update my guides to the new structure I proposed in a previous blogpost (where I stated I may try to update my guides so that they're not meta focused but more focused on teaching how to play the gods themselves). Currently, I'm yet to do this.. with any of them. Not sure when they'll be seeing an update to be honest (or if they will at all), but bear with me, they may come eventually.

On another note I've archived my Ratatoskr guide, I will not be making a new one for his rekit. The reason I made a guide for his old kit was because I loved his passive and was thrilled to give 4 separate item builds for each path, but his new kit took that away and to be honest, it just doesn't thrill me the same way his old kit did (not that his old kit didn't need to be changed, I just think the changes they made made him kind of boring). When Nox got reworked I did refresh her guide, but in retrospect I still don't really give much of a damn about new Nox and my only good reason for updating the guide was because it was my first and it didn't feel right letting it go.

Seeing that it will take a complete overhaul to a lot of my guides to really get them into their new structure, I'm not really looking to update all of them. Many of them were release guides, really only intended to give people who were being introduced to the god some direction as to where to go with them, and I did not continue playing all of those gods to achieve a masterful level of play with them, thus it feels like a waste of time updating guides for in-depth tactics and gameplay for gods I'm only mediocre with and don't really care for all that much anymore. I'd rather make new guides for gods I actually do play on a regular basis.

If you want to see my list of what I'm looking to update, here it is (this is also in order of priority):

Will almost definitely update: Will possibly update: Will most likely not update:
As for my items guide that one is still in the air. It's still my favorite guide I've made, but it did take the most work and does require constant updating to stay relevant. If I do update it, I will try to keep it as separate from the current meta as possible (eg: during the Throwing Dagger meta, I wouldn't note Throwing Dagger as a required start but would mention it among the other starts and state its advantages and disadvantages keeping my info relevant to every meta).

Finally, will we be seeing any new guides? Maybe! Possibly! I really have no idea, perhaps if I get bored one sunday afternoon I'll make a Vamana or Agni guide or something (if you want a clue as to who you might see, you can look at the stats for how much I've played each god here). Will we be seeing any more release guides? No. Six of my guides were release guides and currently they are the six that are the lowest on my priority rung for being updated, so obviously I can determine from the trend that my guides for release gods are sub-par, albeit they do get the most views (eg: Bellona). In fact, the only reason my Bellona guide is even that high on my priority list for being updated is because that guide has almost 1 million views (holy ****).

Sooooo yeah! The main reason my guides are on the backburner right now is because I've been putting some time into streaming, considering getting some youtube videos out there and because Overwatch has taken over my life (I sincerely doubt I'll invest as much time into it as Smite since it doesn't have the same level of depth and because from my experience shooters tend to last me roughly 2-4 months before I get fed up, so don't get too worried that I'm abandoning ship).

Happy smiting yo
