People are requesting Jesus as a potential God and that seems just a bit far fetched... However, the idea of St. Michael (Angel who vanquished Satan) and St. George (Killed all the Dragons in England) are a bit more plausible... Thoughts?

For the most part, all of the Gods in Smite are no longer worshipped by the masses. I don't think bringing any mainstream religious icons would be a good idea financially.

Some to Agni, small percentage see Polytheistic Hinduism causing worship of many gods or goddesses. As for Vamana, not many worship him. but many worship Vishnu.

The main thing to think about is this: Was the deity/character involved in an epic battle? Jesus was not involved in an epic battle, hence he would not fit well. Plus, I don't think Hi-Rez wants to deal with a situation similar to the Kali incident, only worse.

I do like the idea of Angels, though. That would be interesting indeed.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
