Okay you herd the saying "Never go full ******"
But does this apply to smite?
What I'm saying is... should you "Never go full try hard?"

Now what I want to know.... is who here goes full try hard!

I was thinking about this today.

My brother and friend plays smite (they have their own accounts) but my account obviously has the god pack and all the awesome skins I get to rub in their face.

So when I am having a good day I let them ruin my account (most of the ruining WAS FROM ME THOUGH) I'm not saying I didn't ruin half of my stats because of course from the first couple months I totally decimated my stats when I was a nublet but sense it was already half destoryed I figured oh well go F it up more I don't feel like going positive with every god to make up for it.

So this got me thinking.

What if they had two types of accounts inside your account :)

Its like account modes.

The first mode is casual - this means you don't care about stats, you can let others play on your account without worrying what they do to it!!! You will also not have to rewrok all the damage you did to your stats when you were a nublet.

Then when you want to try hard you can switch to TRY HARD MODE.
This is stats for when you want to become a try hard. This would effect every and anything you play no matter if its ranked or casual. Man I wish I could do this so bad :)

Now I want to know who here goes full try hard when they play smite :)

I wish that I could now go remake another account and start over to having amazing stats but of course I would not have all my skins so screw that. This is why I was wishing there was something for TRY HARD STATS.

When I play smite I tend not to be a try hard for half the games.
I don't know about you guys but I play like 8 hours on somedays, I'm sure I did even more before. My point is that I simply cannot go full try hard every match it takes to much out of my brain and Its annoying to be a try hard, that life is rough!!!

I can only go full try hard for so long, maybe a few matches then I give up and go back to just freely playing smite and saying "Screw mah stats" but then....

It.... Happens..... The moment.... when.... your inter gamer demon comes out.... it then says "nub look at them stats!!!" Your gamer angel says "it doesn't reflect you " but then.... the demon gamer in you says "don't listen to that nub!"

"you must take vengence on your old nub self and make your way to pro stats!"

That is when you do this :

#1 - Go try hard for a few matches
#2 - see that you went 10-0 and get excited (yes VEG I'm the greatest!)
#3 - you check your old stats from the the time you played smite to your current self
#4 - You see that your old stats still out weigh all the postitve games
#5 - You now lose hope of becoming a try hard

#6 - You then have this random *** thread asking you "do you ever go full try hard?"

So.... when you play smite DO YOU GO FULL TRY HARD!!! Or have you gave up on life too?
(its okay if you give up on life, in the game you get to respawn, just sayin)

Before I comment on the "Having a casual mode and tryhard option" I would like to ask you something. Do you have any moba experience other then Smite?

As for going tryhard I would never recommend doing it all the time or you might burn out (like I did).But the way i see it if you are playing anything other then ranked there is little reason to go tryhard mode,while in ranked you should really try your best every game hence if you play 3 casual games for every 1 tryhard ranked game you should have quite a nice balance of both.

Stats- Only ranked stats matter ,so even if you did poorly in normals while you were new it shouldn't matter how bad normal stats are.

I only play casual because 10 minutes waiting for a damn ranked game???

****... I think you spend more time waiting to play smite then you actually play it half the time!!!

I don't play ranked for 2 reasons.

#1 main reason is that when I go to click on competitive the damn match is at 13 minutes and I am not waiting that freaking long per ranked game hell to the no way I will wait to play smite that long per match.

#2 Half the time you don't get the god you want, I mean I get you are suppose to build around your team but those people in ranked are strait annoying, they want you to grab their god yet when it comes to your god they say screw you and don't pick it. And the best part is they will jack your god even if they do get it!!!

I got tired of waiting for 13 minutes per game and I got tired of having a team that makes you pick a random god you don't want to play yet they want their god.

I will play casual forever over ranked until they make the time limit lower.
Honestly I think 5 minutes is long as **** for casual thats why if I see arena on 30 seconds I will play it over conquest, I don't have that much time to waste I'm trying to play smite!

Hey I should calculate how many hrs are wasted just by waiting for the games, I bet its a hella alot of hours wasted just waiting to play the match!

You forgot to answer my question about your moba experience.

A few reasons why you should consider enduring the 10-15minutes for ranked (the Qs for ranked are short nowdays).

1)When you play ranked you have a greater chance at getting more competent teammates/enemies in your matches who fallow meta more or less thus improving your experience.Not trying to say that everyone is good in ranked cuz that would be a shameless lie ,but you run better chances of getting decent players the higher you climb in ranked.

2)Just call a god you want to play and tell ppl that you will not settle for anything ,but that. And in low elo you should pick for yourself.That and you can always say that you are bad on other roles/gods that you don't wanna play.

3)while waiting in Qs you can always play stuff like TBS games,stuff like Minecraft and games with comfortable save systems ,so you don't get bored.

Smite ranked Qs will not go down to anywhere near 5mins for a long time (unless they screw up matchmaking system even more) due to small player base.

These are just a few reasons why waiting is worth.

P.s.Ranked unlike normal games actually grant you bragging rights.

15 minutes per match?

Ya ummmmm....... games can take over an hour long.

You expect me to do this per game and not want to quit playing smite.

Maybe you have the patience to wait 15 minutes per game but not me, and people surrender fast in ranked to. Might as well make my time a good wait.

Actually the few ranked games I played I think the people surrendered even faster than casual!!!

Here lets do the math, if I play 4 ranked games and they are all 15 minutes just for the wait, that would mean that I spent 1 WHOLE HOUR doing nothing but waiting for the match....

Ya again I'm not spending hours of time just to wait.

I would do it once maybe or twice but not more than casual when I can play a game in 5 minutes or less.

And ranked is no different than casual besides some people try harder that is all.
I still have had people surrender fast and I have still had people cry over other team mates.

If you didn't know the people from casual can just click on rank and play it.

Rank doesn't mean only the pros are on it.
Pros play casual too.

The only games that I play ranked were like gears of war, ect. Why? Because you don't wait 15 minutes to join a game.

If the time limit was lower I'd play it more but I doubt that will happen.
I would only have the patience to do it 3 times before I get annoyed at the time limit.

Just to let you know I am the best in the world at some other games. When I say the best that means on this planet earth you are talking to the best of other games I play/played. On smite obviously I'm not the "best" or even top 20

But my point is I was Rank #1 all time in a game called armored core 4, I was then top 2 in the next game and so on in every ac game that came out. I was top 100 in gears of war but my point is you said "ps" you can only brag if your in ranked?

I know what that means, that basically means you just told me anytime that I go 4000-0 in casual it does not matter. LOL.

I said this because I was literally #1 in the world at some point and time and I didn't play ranked that match, in fact it was PLAYER MATCHES!!!

You don't have to wait 10-15 minutes for ranked you could just check in when ever you finish a casual match what's the current timer on ranked and if it seems short enough hop in.It's as simple as that.

Since you can't duo q in ranked sometimes you can't prevent people from surrendering fast
and I never claimed that everyone is good in ranked I merely stated that the higher you get in ranked the better chances you have of getting good teammates and better (closer) games overall.
And I didn't state that pros don't play normals.

It is quite irrelevant how good you are at Armored core. I asked you if you had any moba experience.

I said ranked gives you bragging rites ,because having many normal wins doesn't mean you are any good at this game.The only real way you can show off is by either 1v1ing someone or by showing how high your elo is.THAT'S ALL I MEANT.

Have you ever considered that perhaps you are trying too hard to read in between the lines and it's actually harming your ability to see what's truly written?Also I don't appreciate the way you try and put words in my mouth it's just a poor way of conducting any form of discussion.

You simply said what you said. You said you can never brag about ANY NORMAL games, not putting words in your mouth thats what you just said.

You also just said what 90% of everyone that plays smite disagrees with. Again this isn't putting words in your mouth you just said it.

You said that 1v1's give you bragging rights in smite?
Well last time I checked 90% of everyone on smite tells me that 1v1's don't mean a thing because smite is a team based game and 1v1 doesn't calculate how the match will turn out in a real conquest game. It simply shows who is better with their god or who has the better god (as people say).

For example you go into a 1v1 and pick bakasura becasue he is your BEST GOD but the other person picks HBEO. Well do you expect bakasura to win? Wait so I can brag if I beat a bakasura in a 1v1 while I am hebo? Because thats what you just said, you just said 1v1's show who is better. Damn! I better go brag when I beat a bakasura in a 1v1 that makes me so much better than him!

And actually I was the one who would challenge people the most on the smite forums to 1v1 and they said the exact same thing to me and I hate to admit it because its true even though I used to say 1v1 me all day long. I have asked a **** ton of people on the old forum that they took down to 1v1 me. Some actually played me and lost and guess what people said?

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU WIN BECAUSE IT MEANS NOTHING unless your in a real conquest match.

WHen you first play smite your elo is going to be so messed up that you actually think elo is a sure way to tell whos better? So what happens if I face someone with 3000 elo and beat them that would then mean you just lied right since elo means you are better???

1v1 can only prove one thing, Who is better with a certain god.
If both players pick the same god than you can see whos better with that god, but even if you win you can't brag because the other person didn't get to pick their fav god.

Like I said, if someones best god is someone like bastet and yours is a god like Ra and you 1v1 most likely the Ra is going to win simply becasue its RA.

It is relevant of how good I am in armored core because that means I am pro in other games, and if a pro knows that not all pros play ranked than why should I think that every time I get a 20000-0 in a match I can't brag about it, its not like people are all nubs who can't kill you.

This isn't call of duty or gears of war. People don't go to ranked all the time because like on those games where you don't even have to wait and deal with all the **** like waiting 10 minutes for idiots to ban gods, pick their gods ect.

I see people all the time in casual that do better than people in ranked.

Again I didn't put any words in your mouth, you just said that elos and 1v1's prove who is better.

You dug your own grave on that one, because everyone cryied at me when I did 1v1's and they lost saying it makes no difference and to their point it is true.

Even if you beat zapman in a 1v1 while he picks bakasura doesn't mean you are better than him, let him pick bakasura in a conquest match then he would do 1000000000x better and you might lose the game because of a bakasura.

YOU just have to come with grips that Smite is not a 1v1 game. (I already accepted it)
Elo doesn't make a difference either because of partners you get paired up with and there is no MIC to talk with to make your team better if they did suck.

Games like gears of war you can 1v1 simply because you have an equal chance, there is no such thing as different skills, ect. Its who ever loses is the loser.

Smite has, counters, skills, items, gods, and a million other things that can easily make you win over another player. Its not like other games where whenever you play the game you have a equal chance no matter what you do so it all comes down to reaction time and skill.

Smite needs a team VS a team. Then you can brag a little bit more.
But for me when I kill a 1v2 I will brag EVERYTIME I don't care if they did suck it was 1v2 and I owned them there for I WILL BRAG, and if they were GOOD I WILL BRAG.

You see thats your problem you make killing a 1v2 unable to brag unless the title says "ranked" or "I'm a pro!!!"

EVeryone tear down your youtube videos of kill streaks and everything else they mean nothing unless you fought the best players in the world or it was ranked (where any noob can join as well)

I also bring up the fact that I was a bit pro in gears of war for a reason (top 100)
- I was technically the top 100 and I played player matches too.
So does that mean when someone went 100-0 on me in gears of war they cannot brag because it was not ranked?

You see your logic fails because good people still play casual and sometimes the best people in the world could be in your casual match. People that killed me in player matches on gears of war should get the right to brag since they beat someone in the top 100 but by your logic since it was not ranked it means they only beat a noob.
