so i was going to play a few games. I hit ready and going to pick a god next thing kick me out the lobby and put me back to the menu. it did not take my goodwill I can go find a new game. i getting 3/10 games I get kick for the lobby is this a bug or that just me?

This has happened to me before. It typically followed with intense lag that got me kicked from the game. Where I got deserter. Then followed by Hi-Rez having to fix their servers with some emergency maintenance. :P

it happens to me when someone doesnt get the god/role they want and they quit
it wont let you start with less than 5v5

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
