Last season I was in gold II for conquest leagues. The games were fun, yet serious. My teammates warded, coordinated, grouped up, split pushed, rotated, ganked, built well, etc. Good times.

When season 2 began, I decided to just play casual to get a hand of the new meta and eventually I felt confident enough to try leagues for season 2.

Five out of my ten games had leavers. Five. We lost, needless to say.
Then another two of them had people who just didn't either know their gods or know the game.

I'm now in Bronze I. It's absolute hell for me. I'm stuck with people who don't know their gods, don't coordinate or rotate at all, don't know how to build, etc. Some don't speak English and some don't use Curse.

So since my leagues experience is pretty much awful now, I've gone on to casual conquest.
But what do I find? I find the EXACT same ****. It's either I spend 25 minutes watching my team feed despite my best attempts to carry or we win so quickly it's just not fun.

I can't ward for an entire team. I can't gank lanes and hold my own because the jungler is trying to solo gf at lvl 5 and the mid doesn't rotate or communicate at all. The support has built all lifesteal and no damage, and they refuse to surrender. The adc has picked Ymir, insisting it's "the new meta" and the solo lane is off in his own little world, where all of his deaths aren't his fault and how he's a pro who created a new account.

I'm not trying to brag rant, and I'm not trying to come off as a racist as I understand the language barrier problem, but is there any pardon for an experienced smite player trying to have a good game nowadays?

I have good games in casuals too, but of course there are troll games too.. Especially when I queue in the morning. The only thing you can do is try to play ranked and advance to plat/diamond. games are better there

How did you go from gold 2 to bronze 1? From what I remember you can't drop league tiers through the transitions of seasons, only advance. Or did you just go on a losing streak or something?

I guess its just bad luck, matchmaking is never perfect. You could try to work on your casual MMR to get better quality matches. You can get your approximate number on sites like smiteguru.

Tbh, the only problems I have in league are when I'm strongarmed into doing something I don't want, or when my whole team is trash. That's occasional however.

I would just keep trying. I mean, in my most recent games (Bronze III), we've had all five people in curse, we've communicated rotating, and have each done good in our lane and most of the time we won. I'm not sure why my experience is so drastically different from what everyone else says... I'm not sure if they're exaggerating the situation or if I'm just extremely lucky.

I know I say this to everyone, but I find premades far more enjoyable than ranked.

You get to play with friends, but at the same time, it's still a semi competitive environment, just like ranked.
Thanks to Ferrum for making the sig pic! He's beast af people.

this

this is for most ranked modes in games. And for MoBA's also in casual. Solo queue is pretty much hell. and in ranked even more

I would do premades, but all of my irl friends who I've introduced to the game are still waayy below my skill level and I never seem to have enough smite friends online or be able to coordinate 4 of them into joining me in 5v5.

Whoosh. Thought you were the DC'ing goobis that ****ed me over in the casual game I was carrying. "Graytown" not "Greytower" :D.

You could join the SMFG clan! Really, if you have a mic you'll have a full party to play with.
