I am thinking of purchasing a headset or my PC...mainly for smite.

Has anyone had experience with 5.1 surround sound headsets vs standard headsets? Does smite even support surround sound?

It has various recommendations. Ill probably go wired because I don't think wireless, having to recharge, etc, is worth the hassle. Been there, done that. I just really don't know what to get.

For the record, I tend to skimp on sound. I use the onboard sound but it does support 5.1 surround sound onboard ( I think)...ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard


Anyway, any recommendations on a headset for smite? I debating on the general vs off topic forum but seeing as how im looking for something in relation to smite I posted here. If the mods feel its incorrectly placed ill look for it in off topic ;-)

A good friend of mine uses Sennheiser PC 360 which he seems to love, if you have enough money I'd recommend you check those out in a store, they cost about €200 (most gaming stores probably have these). And yes, SMITE supports surround sound.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions.
