I don't know if there is something like this in any other mobas, but what if smite had an honor system. Like, people can click on your name after a game or something for honor points, you could get more favor or something depending on how many honor points you have. or it could help in matchmaking. You would give honor points to people who are good Samaritans who choose gods to help team balance, who help teamates and stuff like that. What do you guys think?

I like the idea. I suggested this to Hirez and their support told me to go post on reddit (which I didn't of course).

My thought was to simply have a system where after a match, all non-partied allies get a chance to rate the players positively or negatively based on their attitude. It should be made clear that this rating isn't for skill level. This way, over time, people who try to play, try to learn, and are willing to play ball and be pleasant will get higher ratings. Eventually this could even be used for matchmaking.

No , not because it wouldn't not be a good idea ,which it is, but because Smite would be full of beggars asking you or everyone to give them honour .

I... don't know what to think about this. I'm always a fan of giving more favor, especially to those who won a surrendered match considering that 85% of games are surrenders. However, like Romanians said there would be a LOT of people that would beg and ***** for Honor, which I would personally find infuriating.

Basically, if this idea came into effect it would be taken advantage of considerably. Few people would actually BE good players, which considering the large influence of pissy LoL players is very uncommon already.

How many times would you want to hear "Give me Honor everyone, I carried the game!"?

on one hand, I have to agree that honor beggars would get real annoying real fast.

on the other hand, how many people would actually give them honor for begging? They'd try to take advantage of the system, but I'm not sure how effective it would actually be.

It wouldn't be effective. The hardest part of such an honor system would be getting it through peoples thick heads that honor is not equal to skill. In other words, having a high score doesn't mean you should get honor and having a low score/sucking doesn't mean you should lose it.

Maybe after a match just have a couple of columns:

1. This person, regardless of their skill level, was pleasant to play with.
2. This person, regardless of their skill level, was not fun to play with.

Then each column has a each teammates name with check boxes. (Note: Again, if you queue with someone you can't vote them up or down, only random people)

I say to prevent that. After the game ends no one can chat. As to avoid any honor beggars. xD

Well in reality. NO ONE would really give any beggar points. Unless they're just some random kids who gave random points to anyone.

I like the pleasant part though. I've played with a lot of uppity players and only a few of "Just playing for fun" Players and I somehow want to repay their friendliness back. Its one thing to win a game and another to "Enjoy" one!
