This match made it through 2 surrender votes.

that's right, 2 whole surrender votes. each one failed 3-2.

and this isn't the first time I've seen something like this happen, either.

I wish I could be experiencing these early surrenders I keep hearing about, because then at least I could start another match sooner!

Its probably more accurate to say people 'try' to surrender too quickly. Theres been lots of games people have tried to surrender and we came back and won. But I also encounter those games that are just a joke, pure slaughter, and they refuse to surrender. Just gotta try to have fun.

And a first today...in solo competitive our thor died and rage quit -_-

People tend to surrender as soon as they see we are 20-30 tickets bellow in Arena .That's just lame , I remember one match when I was level 20-ish we managed to recover 100 tickets just before the end .I even encountered some guys starting surrender votes because of the "lack of teamplay" , 2 out of 3 of those "type" of games were won .

I play mainly Conquest and Joust, where i get a surrender vote maybe one in every 4 games. I usually vote no, unless I have feeders/leavers on my team. I always try to fight it out to the end, more play time = more experience I'm building.

I've had teams quit when the kd ratio and gold ratio wasn't that huge. I was on a team where my team surrendered when we were only two kills under the enemies kill count.

Funny, I've been playing a lot of Arena lately, and I usually don't see teams surrendering until they're about 100 tickers or more behind. At that point, it takes a miracle to win, especially if the enemies are way ahead in kills and are much more fed than your team. If they're also getting minions into your gate, you might as well throw in the towel.
Waiting on a good new MOBA, please.

Not always. Some people and some heros do better early/mid game, others do better late game. An arachne for example is strong early but later game she falls behind. Sometimes, a team just needs to survive until they complete their gear and then they dominate.

Think of it this way, surrendering is a way to prevent the enemy of enjoying a "Real" victory by beating your minotaur/highest points. So maybe those people wanted to surrender because of that :D

I don't want you on my team if you give up easily. I don't want to queue with you. I don't want you on my team or the enemy team. I do not want to play with you.

I suspect that the people that like to surrender quickly do not want to play with me either.

I propose this suggestion... include a survey in smite settings about the sort of player you'd like to queue with...

Just as we can suggest we'd like to be US or EU server... let us say whether or not we like to surrender at the first set back or if we like to tough it out for a win.

Include other things as well. Then when the match maker tries to bring a team together... try to honor those attributes.

I'm not talking about whether people are good or bad. Obviously we only want good players on our team. Rather, I am talking about play styles and characteristics of the players.

If you like to surrender... I do not want to play with you. Ever. Rage quit in someone else's game.

Ideally all the surrender/rage quitters will be queued on the same teams exclusively with each other. And they can enjoy their average game lengths of 10:03... That's what they want... I am happy for them to get it so long as it doesn't come at my expense.

I don't surrender. If you want to win, you're going to have to kill my minotaur. I will draw the game out as long as I possibly can in the hope of eventually winning. Every time.

I win a lot more then I lose. I had a 90 minute game a few days ago. Utterly useless team mates. Couldn't hold a lane 4v2. Just garbage to a man. But when I showed up... the enemy died. Sometimes one at a time... sometimes all at once.

Eventually the game finished 2v3... 3 people from my team rage quit and two people from the enemy team rage quit. I reported them all. Garbage.

I know someone is going to say that they don't want to be on my team or that I'm a bad guy for not surrendering. So don't play with me. Deal? I don't want to play with you. Its a win win.
