Sorry, I meant knock-back. Is Poseidon's into unavoidable?

Not during the knock-back I believe.
Release The Kraken! has startup time though, and you can aegis just before the dmg is applied.

I find it hard to react fast enough to it though, even without the knock-back. What if he uses release the Kraken first, then hits you with tidal surge just as you react to his ultimate, rendering your aegis useless? It's especially hard if our team has a Poseidon as well, and I don't know whether it's his ultimate or the enemy's.

If it's the enemy he usually aims it on top of you... Also the outlines are red if the kraken is from the enemy.
