Why the hell do we have invincibility frames on jumps? I freaking use my ult as He Bo, and Bastet jumps THROUGH my ult! She takes zero damage even though the wave smacked her directly in the face.

So how can we change this?

How can we change that? We don't thats how. The I-frames are perfectly fine and allow them to be usefull in the midst of combat to. It gives leaps more use in a different scenario and is far from OP.

That's the animation but the actual damage is on the ground

This is why before using an ultimate, we usually want to bait the jumps from the gods that have them.

I say it's fine. If it's jumps it makes sense. If it's dashes no. Dashes counts as walking on the ground.

A hit is a hit, if they aren't on the ground, they aren't on it. I get what you're saying, its just I disagree with it.

I've always thought leaping through terrain and abilities like Crushing Wave was stupid. Nothing better than someone clearing a wave right by their portal in Arena, then giving the enemy team the finger and jumping directly through a ten-foot thick wall of stone and fire.

I understand that the gameplay mechanics are working correctly, but the fact that someone can leap through the wave (Yes, I know the hitbox is on the ground, but i'm talking realistically) unharmed is extremely stupid. The hitboxes need to be redrawn and leaps need to stop giving I-frames. If you want to actually leap OVER an ultimate, fine. But when you get clearly smacked in the face by a wave and take zero damage, we're losing a LOT of realism here.

Now let's say you're jump goes higher than the ult, and your god never comes into contact with the wave (If we redrew the hitboxes). I would have no problem THEN. But the fact that they literally slam their face into it and get off just fine makes leaps just a big escape button.

I agreed with you, put there are two reasons why Hi-rez might just go "meh":

A: Hi-rez will have to redo almost all leaps in the game, which will take a lot of work and time.
B: Will probably create some rage moments "********! I cleared Crushing Wave by a mile!".
