Am i just a bad player? maybe. But i dont think so. actually i think im quite good. when i play with my clan, i dominate, if i get a half decent lane partner i dominate. but my stats. trash. why? pretty sure its the matchmaking in smite. Either the smite matchmaking system decided i should always play with bad players, or 90 percent of the smite population is just bad. I'm currently level 20, and it hasn't gotten any better. I really love the game, but at this point, im thinking about quitting. My win loss record is 64-79. My personal K/D/A is usually quite good in games, that is until at lvl 10 the super fed lvl 15 enemy mid lane comes over and poops on me. I am just so tired of losing because of ****py teams. I mean Someone please tell me this gets better at the higher levels cause seriously I am thinking of giving up smite

Don't give up is what I say. Maybe you are lacking also. Train with a friend, read some guides, that helps a ton. Familiarize with different gods and their weak spots. Exploit them. Keep in mind Smite is growing and many new players are around. Some of them first timers in MOBA games so it's no wonder in lower brackets it's hell. Just man up and play your best. Stats mean nothing right now because the whole match making system and ranked ELO systems are not working properly and not fully implemented.

this is like a broken record, once someone brings up stats everyone starts bringing it up.

NO ONE CARES IF YOU HAVE A KD OF 40 or .01

I'm still going to always think I can win against someone even if they are the best and I'm still going to assume a ****py player can kill me.

Thats how gamers work.

Reminds of one match I had few days ago. I was Chronos going mid vs enemy Chronos. I had like 10 games with this god and the enemy player was rank 10 with him also having few hundred more games played then me. Well... basically I was so intimidated but I owned his arss during the laning and after that late game also. I'm so very proud of myself it didn't even matter if I win or lose.

So.. you are lvl 20 and you are complaining about bad teammates? :O

Since I don't want to make a big post I will just make it nice and short.

1) W/l ratio in normals means less then nothing to anyone who has played mobas before, because the games there are too random.

2)You are lvl 20 which means a few things:
1.You are not good at Smite.
2.You are probably getting anywhere between lvl 10 to lvl 30 players in your games whom are all fairly new ,so it's no surprise they are not good.
3.Even when you get to lvl 30 you will still get really bad teammates especially in normals or low elo ranked games. (Smite like other mobas are a lottery in solo q sometimes you get good teammates, most of the time you get bad ones).

The way I see it you got a few options of how you can improve your experience in Smite:

1)The most obvious one is find someone to duo q with that way at least you will have to worry about 3 teammates instead of 4.

2)When entering a match assume that everyone is going to be bad on your team and it is up to you to try and coordinate them and if someone starts to rage to try and calm everyone down and
keep up the morale overall. (Do congratulate your teammates when they make good plays it helps A LOT).

3)Watch some high lvl stream and try to understand why they do what they do.Why X works and Y doesn't. If you see them ward in certain places or at certain times try and do the same in your games ect.

4)Try to get to lvl 30 and if you are feeling confident enough try to do some ranked matches.
While ranked might be just as bad if not worse in low elo brackets it gradually gets better the high you climb (not by much mind you).

Bottom line since you can't change your teammates the only things you can do are focusing on your own game and improving yourself aswell as trying to help your teammates out as much as you can.

Hope this makes sense.
