Alright. So what happens when you have athena and sobek. Both are banned. You have first pic and your team tells you to get bacchus. Ooops, you don't have bacchus so you can't get it for your teams tank.

The gods are not always picked in order. And there seems to be a lot of strategy behind choosing gods. This is now very confusing because in addition to asking someone to pick a god, you have to hope they CAN pick it.

I just foresee its going to create a lot of hostile and angry people as they rage against anyone who can't select the god they want....much like ive already seen against people without the god pack.

i don't see your probleme it doesn't take long to get 50 worshipers with any god. it maybe takes 1 day of playing him/her at the most.

presuming that you didn't just start at level 30 at this patch you will have been playing for a while with multiple gods. inculding high picks.

you will already have 50 worshippers on close to all gods. if you started playing. god rotation.

i doupt that there i will be a lot of rage. its close to never that you actually have to trade in low elo matches because almost everybody is a decapitaded chicken there. they will pick what they wanna play them sels and give not ***** for team comp.
never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

Hopefully. Though I have to spend the next few days farming all of the gods I don't really like to play just because other people like to play them :-( Le Sigh

Its really not difficult, and ive been wanting to do it anyway, but it can be tedious because the team has to win for worshippers and I my luck in publics is astoundingly bad. LOL.

This. Very much this.

I now have to go out and rank up jungle gods like Ne Zha and Fenrir, which I don't play very much. Just so that I can be sure to pick them for my team. And I also have to go rank up Loki, as a backup, just in case. And god forbid I'm in a game where the guy would rather jungle Hun Batz.

And thats just so I can go in and play a completely different god in match. So I can't practice my craft.

Some of us have lives outside video games. Like a wife. A kid. A job. A mortgage. And a whole host of other responsibilities. We get maybe enough time to jump onto Smite, play a ranked game, and then hop off. I can't do that now. I have to spend my time on a bunch of other gods first.

Let me clarify, quickly.

I understand not letting you join without 12 gods.... but only letting you pick from gods you have ranked? Meh.

Again, then the Solo Master queue is not for you. It's for the people who wants their allies and opponents to be experienced with what they are doing. This is the main reason why new gods aren't allowed in this queue for another 1-2 weeks after release as well, because a lot of people don't know enough about them to call themselves 'experienced'.

If you don't want to play against experienced players, then you don't have to. But if you do, then you should at least make yourself stand out as an experienced player for others.

Solo Ranked worked perfectly fine for me. I was successful at it. Not great, but good enough to enjoy it. And, again, I was top ELO on several of them. So, obviously, I wasn't horrible at it.

I like ranked games, because there aren't as many "trolls".

Now, I have to go play roles I'm not good with, and hope my team can carry me. This is the "not fun" part of the game.

I understand what you're saying, but this is not the case. As you probably already knew, ranked is meant for competitive more than for just having fun, meaning that you should know what you're doing, and what the opponents are doing as well as knowing the basics of a MOBA game. By adding a requirement of having at least 12 gods at ADEPT rank, you'll be able to know enough about the basics of SMITE, such as knowing which items to go for depending on different roles and gods, knowing how to counter an enemy build, knowing how a jungler works, etc.

Even though you're an experienced player, there are still a lot of people who aren't, and this will make sure that they will know more about how the game works, before they enter the competitive part of the game. So this is not to punish good people, it's to make sure that the good people won't be having trolls on their team, or unexperienced in general.

Well, this has nothing to do with playing vs experienced players. The only potential problem I see is the god selection.

An extreme example: You join a game, you are the lowest ELO, you pick last. The four people who pick before you have limited gods available to them. None can select a god for you...at least not a god you want. Further, do to the limitation no one on your team has a tank or support available, except maybe you.

I don't know that this will be an issue, but my worry is that depending on who you randomly get assigned with the game is going to become like Assault where its really a luck of the draw on what 'set of gods' you get. It destroys he ability for skilled people to develop a specific team unless you luck out and everyone has all of the gods available to them.

I agree.

If you are bottom ELO (again, extreme example) and you are tasked with picking up the jungle. What happens if the only jungle gods you have at Adept are already picked and/or banned? Then you have to stick your teammate with someone he may not be fully familiar with.

This just means I have to go out and grind now. What I liked about Smite was that there was grind for those that wanted it, and for those that don't like to grind there were plenty of options as well.
