Newbie question about Zhong kui

Hello guys, I have been playing smite for a week or so now and I unlocked a few hrs ago Zhong kui. It seem when I play him I seen to have a very low kill rate like 5 or less per game and when playing other mages i have a really good kill rate. I do seem to die a lot when playing him even though I can outlast longer than other mages but I feel reallllly slow lol. Just wondering if this is normal to have a low kill score with him or am i doing something wrong? I did check out the guides that are posted on the site, but should i focus on more def and aiming to hive a high assist? Thanks

It's not like your expecting to be the top killer on every game. Some loki's don't even get that much kills depending on who their playing with. So you don't really need to worry to much about it. If it's your game then it's your game. If not then don't try to be disapointed. As long as you get a good KD ratio going then your doing fine. No need to go after kills so recklessly. But if that's how you want to play then you'll have to be smart about it.

At least you get 5 kills/match .I played Zhong for about 10 matches and I usually end up with 3 kills or less .I think it's because of his passive , it makes you pay much more attention to minion waves , trying to fill your bag , instead of getting into actual battles with the enemy team .

zhong is a really strong mage.

he has great poke because of this 1's dot and his 3's basic attack buff. i like him full damage but some people like him better with a bit of tankyness. but that is prefrence.

because of his ult he is a great towerdiver and he rules teamfights but is really squishy when it ends.

his ult double's his passive protections but he loses all of them at the end of it.

if you want to kill as zhong there are a number of ways. the first is poke very often into tower dive.

the second is throwing everything at the squishy the moment they gank you.

the third is when your jungler is ganking your mid enemy is again throwing everything and diving as hard as you can with your ult. keep in mind that you have to let your jungler know that you will be very aggresive and ask him to follow.

never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.
