Seeing as they changed the roles of both Vamana and odin to warrior and nothing else, does that mean that they can't tank like they used to?

Because pys tank just don't work since tanks are very cc oriented and if you make something with possible high damage and hard cc you get monsters. Making all of them warriors.
never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

Well odin has a slow and his ulti is a kind of cc. As well as vamana with his 1. And since their warriors they dont need a hard cc.

Almost all gods have cc but tanks need hard cc and eazy to get off.

Odin has 1 cc out of his ult and its a slow. Not even a heavy slow. A normal slow.
Magical tanks have ez stuns knock backs taunts knock ups slows fears silences.

But since there abilitie scalins are so low they have to build tank. A pys tank would need heavy cc but could just build damage and basic attack people under hard cc to death.

why couldn't they just have power to auto attack scaling very depending on what class the god is listed as?

like make it so that any gods listed as "tank" get lower scaling than other gods. then you could have physical gods!

The "Warrior" tag is a bit misleading. Some warriors like Thor are significantly less tanky when compared to Odin or Vamana. Vamana in particular works as a dedicated tank thanks to his passive armor-to-power passive, and certainly works best that way as opposed to building him with raw damage items, unless there are no physical gods to tank.

Lets also not forget there are these gods called "magic bruisers", like Hades and... uh, okay, ever since they made Guan Yu physical, Hades has been kinda lonely in his role nowadays.
Waiting on a good new MOBA, please.

If your enemies knows what they're doing, Ares is easy to nulify

ive played a 24-5 with Ares but thats because the enemies sucked balls. Anyone who knows Ares and his abilities will: a) use beads on his ulti b) use their own ulti to be CC immune vs his ulti.

Hades on the other hand, has a veeery long initiation skill and crazy AoE damage + a silence/fear
