protection for fenrir?

Hi, Im new to the game, and Im rushing to get to ranked matches, so Im mastering all my available heroes, now it's Fenrir's turn, when I read his ulti I thought of giving him some protection items since it will double at full runes and Id be able to carry a hunter in or out of a teamfight with less danger which will give me more survivability to take him down once the carry time is over. I havent tried it yet, if anyone did plz give me your feedback

Yes, protections are usually pretty essential to a successful Fenrir, I suggest Magi's Blessing, as it will stop him from being stunned whilst using Brutalize every 45 seconds.

Yeah. I've seen people build bruiser Fenrir and rock with it. He's pretty much a consistent dealer of damage and harasser, although his cc comes only when in full runes (after 5 basics) with his Unchained and his ulti, Ragnarok.

He won't be harmed much by 1 or 2 protection items because he's got that physical power buff (that's getting buffed soon) from his 2.

Now, people who don't buy protections and randomly Brutalize is another story......

You kind of do not use max runes for your ult though. The max runes is used on Unchained for the stun.

As Firraria said Magi's is really good on him. You can also get Void shield and Sov can also be a viable pick up if your support haven't picked it up and Bulwark is good if you are having trouble with magical. Other than that Urchkin is good one everyone :P

Thx guys, its really helpful.
Another question, the four hits from the brutalize skill count as stacks for the runes? Cz if yes it would be amazing, i give him good protection and my combo would be to charge runes against minions, leap in, brutalize, hit one more attack then ultimate, carry the hunter out of the fight, finish him. And if I get him 40% cooldown reduction (ninja boots and one more item) the leap would recharge in no time since I surely should have hit someone with it the first time so thats 4,5 secs, so I get back in or follow the unfortunate retreaters

nope only basic attacks so its brutalize then hit 5 times then ultimate
