Hello fellow smiters!

So, yesterday the "new" god were released - superb!
One thing I just hate when there's a new god release, there's always.. almost always.. someone who wants to pick the god, but because they are too slow to pick it, they just leave the selectionscreen, after we load OR they pick someone and go afk/feed.

Today I experienced that.
A friend of mine had picked wukong and locked when there were 25 seconds left.
Then our teammate wanted him all of a sudden (he almost instantly picked wukon and waited for someone to say something). But because that wasn't possible - then he just picked something and went feeding the mid champion, while calling us child molesters, childish etc. and that he'd sue our jungler because he was livestreaming.

At one point, I told him to zip it otherwise he would certantly be banned sooner or later, BUT he "can't get banned because he's got all skins, voice packs etc. and is an admin".

I know that it's a f2p moba, but even if you have bought stuff etc. to support the game, that doesn't mean that you can act like a prick without getting a warning.
It just pisses me off, that because you've bought 200 gems and bought a skin, then you can't get banned (according to the player) - because you've supported the game.

you can fund the entire project but even then if you are a giant **** you will get banned. people who start raging and start saying they are admins are full trolls.

there will always be trolls.

Don't worry, he was just full of ****. Anyone can get banned, and there are no "admins" in the game. HiRez staff might play, but they're easy to spot and don't go around talking **** to people.

HiRez employees? They're all named "HiRezSomething" as far as I know. HiRezErez, HiRezBart, HiRezKelly, HiRezDuke, etc.

Actually Kelly's nick is something like HelloKellyLink. Or maybe she has two accounts. Anyway, all Hi - Rez members are polite so if someone is raging... that's the best proof he is not anyone important :D

I wish there was an easy answer on how a game can deal with ragers. The deal is SMITE is a FTP game meaning there are a bunch of young twits living at mommy and daddy's house. Harsh punishments against ragers alienates a large populous and potential revenue source (enough though they are for the most part poor).

Compare SMITE/LOL/DOTA2 with "World of Tanks". The latter is EXTREMELY popular, but to progress quickly you need real cash. Because of this, the customer-base tends to be part of the work-force and thus more mature (there are always immature folks regardless).

SMITE needs to weigh the loss of mature old customers/mature new customers against the loss of immature ragers if the punishment is too steep. If the punishments are too steep for raging, then SMITE becomes a police force.

Maybe there should be NO chat other than the voice chat! Most of the time nothing worth listening to is said, right?
