Actually, that would be most days. I know I've heard it before and I know people always say that "Beads counter Crowd Control", but seriously Hirez? I love this game to death with its mechanics and the 3rd person view, along with the lore and whatnot... but jesus christ, being CC locked for 7 seconds isn't exactly my idea of fun.

Now, don't just skip down and comment "OMG BEADS OMG MAGIS OMG" because I understand all that ****, but those two things aren't always there to help you especially when every god you encounter will have SOME sort of CC to hit you with. I understand guardians having a kit of crowd control abilities, that's what they do is take damage and cc the other team to set up good situations for a team fight. But hunters with CC? Why? Their job is to do damage, not use two or sometimes even three abilities to cc an enemy. That's as much or more cc than most guardians in the game! The only real "Hunters" that I can see are Xbalanque and AMC. Xba has his leap to get away, and his ult is CC but that's his ultimate and his only cc ability, and it isn't a great one at that. AMC has a ton of damage and a mediocre slow, but no escape. That's a great god setup, either one in my book. Have them fill a role great and others like ****.

Then you get the gods like Apollo. A stun that lasts longer than Ymir's 3, a knockup, a GLOBAL Knockup/ CC immune escape along with a great ability for a hunter which is an attack speed buff every once in awhile. Seriously, I've seen Apollo's 1v5 entire teams because he'll ult in, knock people up, mesmerize them and then proceed to kill them one by one as the stun ticks down slowly. Why not use beads? Oh, maybe it's because they used them twenty seconds before that to get out of ***bha's 3 ability. Magis? Sprung Thor's two earlier. And then ***bha comes in, puts everybody to sleep, Thor appears and 2s them all and if they aren't dead by this point, well here comes good ol' Agni to throw out a stun!

I've actually had that happen before, not making any of that up. Gods like Artemis, a hunter with three CC abilities; A root, a slow, and a stun that does insane damage and can stun more than one person for a couple seconds. A half decent Artemis can wipe out four enemy players by popping her ult, then her two and go to town with her passive critical stacks.

Also, why do MOBA's always need that one god/champ/hero with six abilities? I'm speaking about Hel and Ullr in this case. Hel has insane damage, a debuff, a buff, and a heal on relatively low cooldowns. Hel's easy to deal with though, albeit annoying, but easy enough. Ullr, though, has a slow, a stun, a leap, a straight shot ability that can pass through enemies and whatnot, and has the advantages of a Hunter AND an Assassin in one god. I hate Ullr. He stuns, I pop beads. He leaps, then I turn to fight. Oh, he switched to his long range mode and is picking at me? Beads wears off, slows me, hits me with his piercing attack, ults back into his melee form and stuns again.

Mages typically have one form of Crowd Control that's a more pinpoint "skillshot" than some other forms of Crowd Control, so I personally think a majority of the mages are fine as they are with their CC save maybe He Bo who has a knockup and a slow debuff/ speed buff depending on who's on it at the time.

I'm not saying that CC is a bad thing, rather, I'm saying that there's simply too much of it on too many gods. It negates part of the class differences when everybody has a cc ability they can launch to save themselves or wipe out the enemy. It makes it no fun for newer players as well, especially when you manage to lose 11 games in a row because of CC chains. It's harmful.

My point is basically this: Crowd Control kits are fine as long as they're on a Guardian whom is meant for the role of CC'er. It's fine to have a soft CC ability on Assassins and Hunters, or maybe a hard CC ability if the god is especially squishy. Having Hunters with the ability to CC chain all by themselves is not okay. A god shouldn't be able to take a main part of a tank's job and incorporate it into the ADC's job. It's just doesn't fit the roles.


On a personal note, I personally hate Ymir with a passion. Not because of his CC, but because of his passive. A tank doesn't need a passive that grants him extra damage. After all, when your "tank" can burst out 1200 damage between his abilities and his basics all because of a passive, what the heck do you need a mage for?

uhm you forgot xba has a slow on his darts and AMC has a cripple on his ult.

Also that you still live after being cc for 7 second one ymir freeze or a chronos stun is enough time to get killed for me

I agree that hunters shouldnt have so much tools. Apollo has a ton of escapes, good CC, and dat global presence ult. I think adcs should be more vulnerable, like as you said Ah Muzen Cab.

I read a whole lot a rage, but i actually am an Ullr player, so..... sorry about that but yeah it doesn't really make that much sense.

Well actually you have more than just beads.... you also have rank 3 aegis ...

If you are still getting CC'd after that it literally is your mistake...

Have you ever bought beads/aegis against ares? It makes him useless because he can never ult you.

If you beads you still have aegis and by time you use aegis your beads will be back up and the cycle continues. The only way to have both actives down is totally your own fault for getting caught over and over.

There is no good reason to get CC'd outside of a blink combo and even then you can sort of avoid it if your fast enough.

Without blink you already know the God you are facing, if you are facing ***ba it will be no surprise that he has to get close to you to stun it, it is no surprise that if you see hhis 2 charging up that you should back away. So without blink it is totally your fault for getting CC'd, I don't think nobody will deny that.

BUT with blink I will give you benefit of the doubt, with blink I would say you most likely will not react fast enough to see the CC coming then use an ability that is too slow, so yes with blink you WILL get CC'd.

BUT again, if the enemy Ymir has Blink then its your job to either
#1 - STay out of his blink range
#2 - Buy beads for his blink

All you do is wait for the blink sound and then you pop beads.

It literally does AVOID the CC, and nobody can CC you will you have beads popped so there is no way or excuse to get CC'd while beads is popped.

It doesn't matter if you were facing 5 Ymirs, if you pop beads and 5 Ymirs try to freeze you the CC WILL NOT WORK because you used beads.

On top of that you also have aegis rank 3 that even allows you to not only break out of CC but be immune to the damage...


ON a serious note, with that said it is your mistake for being CC'd at any point in the game.

Yes a God like Apollo has too much greatness in his kit, but to say that you can't avoid CC is not very true.

After all I just said, if you use beads NO AMOUNT OF STUSN will be able to freeze you until beads wears off.

So my question to you is - How exactly are you getting CC'd to death then????

Its obvious, you are making mistakes on positioning and getting caught in a bad spot then paying the price for it, what do you expect to happen when you keep letting Ymir Freeze you? Did you think you were going to live???
