I'd really love to have that Ymir skin, though I'm just lvl 21 (and a little below half).

I found a statement of Hi Rez saying they aim for release in Q1 of 2013, wich is about nao.

How long did it take you guys to reach lvl 30?

Also, is the process of leveling in Smite unnessecary long?

Will I get a little gift from Hi Rez for not making it?

Get all the 1st Win Availible bonuses on all the match modes. Those bonuses will add up.

I have also heard the rumor about the game not being released until they hit a target of 40 gods. So, you don't want to fiddle around and waste time, but I think if you really grind for a bit, you'll make it. Just take advantage of those bonus exp points.

You say this, but League of Legends released with 40 champions as well. 40 Champions and one game mode with matchmaking; Summoner's Rift. Twisted Treeline (3v3) was available in custom games.

Of course SMITE wont be able to compete with LoL or DOTA in terms of God variety for a while.
