Chang'e skin doesn't show automatically

I bought all skins of Chang'e, and now I'm grade 10. So the gold and black skin was unlocked as well. But I don't know why it always show the original skin in picking. And I can only choose skin after locking in.(I only play arena, does it matter?) It has been like that even before the golden skin was launched..At that time I only have the pink one.

Is it a bug or it was designed to be like that?

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods.
