Just updated Smite today, and I was able to get to the login screen just fine the first time, but now any time I try to open the game, I press play from the launcher, and the Hi-Rez logo comes up, then I get a black screen, and then it minimizes. And every time I try to bring it back up, it just goes black and then minimizes again. Anybody know how to fix this??

I just logged in for my first time today and it worked without any problems. How long have you had this issue, were you able to play Smite yesterday for example? If so, then I guess the update did something wrong, or missed a file.

Run this program "Hi-Rez Diagnostics and Support" and choose "Validate/Repair" and see if it works after that. This program can be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Hi-Rez Studios at standard location.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
