Artemis. Godess of the Hunt. Daughter of Zues and Leta. Twin sister of Apollo and one of THE best ranged characters to me. There are alot of ways to play Artemis, but probably the best one , in my opinion, is the Attack Speed style. So I decided to share this with you foo's. This is my first build on this smitefire so feedback would be appriciated :D. soooo.... yea lets get started.
Lets go through Artemis' abilities shall we?
Still Target: This is Artemis' Passive. A really cool one at that. Each sucessful hit you land = +5% crit chance for 4s. It can also be stacked up to 3 times for a whopping 15%. Pretty damn good if you ask me.
Transgressors Fate: This move is..... unique. Its a trap that immobilizes an enemy god whil doing damage depending on its rank and 30% of your physical power. Im going to come right out and say it; I dont like this move. Mainly because it can rarely be used in battle because of its 2s root time and it can be easily dodged. But I will say one of the finer points is that it can also be used as a ward so theres that.
Vengeful Assault: Oh yes. Oh HELL yes. This is one of Artemis' best abilities in my opinion. Artemis decides to not give a single **** and astarts to barrage you with arrows. This move buffs your attack speed like mad. From level 1 where it buffs your attack speed by 35% to its final level where it buffs your attack speed to a whopping 75%, you would be MAD to not love this ability. This move is especially good in a fight where your enemy is retreating near tower range and you need those last 2 hits. Must have man. Must have
Suppress The Insolent: This is probbably my most used attack with Artemis, And for alot of reasons.. This move is a circle radius attack that slows enemys that are hit. This move has secured kills for me many times. It can take out minions pretty fast too. You can also use this skill on the retreat if timed correctly. This skill can also be used to kill alot of minions at once. If theres an enemy within tower range that needs one good hit for the kill, but you dont wanna risk the tower death, this is the perfect skiil for you. Did I mention its great at killing minions?
Calydonian Boar: Those pesky gods always get away at the last second RIGHT when you where about to get the kill? Not anymore with Artemis' Ultimate: The Klaydonian boar! I. LOVE. THIS MOVE. This move is a stun attack that does a good grip of damage depending on its level. Oh yea and it use 100 PRECENT OF YOUR PHYSICAL POWER. Just an added bonus. The boar initates its life span (which is only 6s btw) immidately attack the nearest god stunning both the god and himself, and then going to the next god within his range. Thats another thing. HIS RANGE IS REDICULOUS. This is th perfect move to secure kill. And again. I. LOVE. THIS. MOVE.
Now before I get comments saying "omfg no b00ts u are a nubby scrub not mlg like me and my clan", Artemis dosent need boots. Her movement speed is adequate enough for almost anything. That and I DONT CARE. That is all.
Soul Eater: This item is essential at the begining. The attack speed buff is nice, but mainly because of the lifesteal. Especially because you dont want to be recalling all the time because your health is too low. Not to mention the lifesteal aura that it gives to your lane partner. Gotta love it.
Meditation: Another essential. Artemis uses mana like its going out of business. You are going to NEED meditation early on. The only reason your not getting it first is because levels one - four , you can hold your own without alot of mana. Your not going to want to buy level 3 immediately though, two should suffice.
Devourer's Gloves: This item is pretty useful. Mainly for the power boost it gives you, but the lifesteal is nice aswel. Plus your going to want to get your stacks up as soon as possible. Although its not that much the lifesteal is always handy to have.
Fatalis: Love this item. Not only does it buff your attack speed, it can stack up to four times for each successful hit for attack speed. But the best part, once you hit level 3, you can move backwards without moving slower. Its prettey damn cool if you ask me. Oh and it buffs movement speed. Big whoop.
Creeping Curse: This is going to be your second active. Works swell along with Klaydonian Boar to ensure kills. Your going to want to max this skill immediately. Oh and you should finish up Meditation as well. Its about time we finished it.
Rage: This Item (In my..."Professional" Opinion) Is completely overpowerd. Not only does it give you a decent attack speed and physical power buff, Its crit chance rate is what REALLY makes this item cheap. Each hit increases your crit rate chance +5% up to 10 stacks. Now normally this would only be 50%. But added with the crit chance form the item, AND still target, you get a total of 100% crit chance with max stats. The only downfall is that once you land a crit the stacks for rage start over so theres almost no reason to have all 10 stacks.
Qin's Blades: The added power, attack speed, and health is cool, but the real reason we want this item is for its passive. Basic attacks deal 2.5% damage of the gods total health. So thats the REAL power boost with this item. Perfect for gods with insane health like Fenrir.
Witch Stone: Nice item. Attack speed debuff aura, Attack speed, Protection and physical power is all nice. But in all honesty I havent found too much use for it, so it would be wise to replace this (if you want) with any item that ups physical power or protection. I added a List of items that I think would prove useful up Above.
Well. Im pretty sure everyone knows how to perform well as a team with Artemis. So I dont really have any tips there except this. Her ulti can also be used as support for other characters trying to get a kill. For Example, Hades' Ultimate. Really good but can be leapt out of. Not if thier stunned though!
So yah. First smitefire guide. Im really liking this site and I enjoyed making this guide. Hope this helped you get thousands of kills because God knows it helped me. Until next time.
~See you on the BattleField.
