Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. While you do have all the necessaries (sustain via SE, flat pen via SE and Jotunn's, % pen via Hydra's and HS), I would say even more pen (e.g. Titan's or Crusher) would also be good options.
So, I would offer those alternate items to Sphinx as the player prefers.
Of course this is more of a late-game build, clearing the camps wo a jungle item will be painful early.
I generally assume for a typical jungler that if they're not getting a jungle starter that it's probably not for Conquest. That said, Bluestone isn't the worst choice if you want an alternate starter with more of a player fight focus.
