Baron aint really cut out for Midlane, and he knows it~
Baron excels in Solo and Duo lane, so that is where i believe he should play a MAJORITY of the time, I would be lying if i said i got to rank 10 in only Solo and Duo, i'll make seperate guides for Mid and Jungle Baron as my builds vary greatly when i fit him into those roles.
Three's a party honey.
And Party you will have with Baron in Joust. Where he will be an asset to the team as he heals and CC's the enemy in a cacophony of death and sustain
Now don't forget to grab your brew.
I didn't say you could die!
Rod of Asclepius and Lotus crown are classic healer items, giving Baron the maximum healing potential he could have.
Well, Almost.
Soul Gem is a little loved item, so let's show it some love. Get good with the stacking of this Ruby and you'll never stop the party.
Ooh baby, a triple!
Baron is a man of the party, and as such excels in teamfights and will often laugh at 2V1's late game. Gem of Isolation will slow the party crashers down, and Mail of Renewal is your second wind. When the party really gets lame, Shield of Regrowth will help you move on.
This build will give Baron an extra 1250 health, gives a maximum 30% buff to his healing, Gives him large amounts of Sustain in teamfights with the Renewal and Regrowth duo, and your teammates will appreciate the boost they get from the Zombie Pimp that is Baron Samedi
Keep those Party Crashers Out!
Book of the Dead is really a "Up to You" type of item switch. If you feel like you really need the extra shield and bit of survivability then go for it, id recommend dropping Gem of Isolation for it.
Ethereal Staff is great for versing CC heavy teams. you'll feel the 20% CC Reduction, and the enemy will feel the extra power your gonna be dropping on their heads. Id drop this for Mail of Renewal if i had to.
Stone of Binding is one of my favorite items for Baron Right now. as in team fights it is a powerful asset giving your friends a penetration buff after landing CC. Id only buy this if you have a strong support that will protect you, drop shield of Regrowth and enjoy the Delete you will rain down on the enemy team with this.

I started playing Baron when i switched to XBOX (due to a broken computer) and didn't really look back. Picking Baron up after his nerf was good for me, as i had no inclination of how to play him pre nerf. I started Building him specifically for late game, while early game this can cause him to suffer against hard matchups he will drop a bomb late game. being a great support character on the team with a kit that will save everyone.
Remember to utilize your Consign Spirits for healing, and as always.
Stay Classy Baby!

That said...Swissly, you're not getting early shoes. I can see no shoes late for S6 (we're not there yet, we're still in S5) due to the upcoming Elixir of Speed. Asclep isn't really good enough for a god that has no escape, let alone any god as a whole. This isn't LoL where MS isn't quite as important. MS is OP in SMITE. And no...Asclep + Regrowth is NOT appropriate for normal MS. The Regrowth boost is only when you hit enemies with Consign Spirits, and so your movement is going to suck when enemies aren't around...or when you miss the ability altogether.
So...you might get away with this lack of MS in Joust, but not in a large map like Conquest, and we typically strongly suggest shoes in general.
And other than the situational healing function...I'm not really sure what you're trying to do with this build. Some of the items chosen are fine...but your damage is ****. You have extremely low power for a mage in general, 2 items that have NO offensive function, and penetration is apparently not in your vocabulary.
I would say this is troll, but the writeup doesn't sound like it. That mostly just makes this a poor build. And if you're trying to indicate this is a utility/support type build...you've got health but almost no protections (Lotus' low prots don't count). So it's not really that good for that function either.
