Warrior's Blessing and Morningstar to get Transcendence. Get Multi Potions instead of Mana to help with sustain until you start upgrading your hives. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE MANA BUFF! Ah Muzen Cab can soak up the mana you use and multi potions won't help you as much. Lacking mana will really hurt you if you can't manage it well. If you feel confident you can get Mana Pots as an alternative to Multi Potions and sacrifice some of your early sustain. Once you get your hives to at least lvl 3 you can drop Multi Potions for Mana Potions.
In this case, you can either rush to Transcendence or get your boots and get Transcendence after. Transcendence is important to keep your autos hitting hard as you're building more and more ability-based items. Choose either Warriors Boots or Ninja Tabi; Warriors is a valid choice, and with Transcendence you get even more bang for your buck with the extra mana.
By now your basic attacks should be hitting hard enough that you'll be able to get a god to at least 50% health pretty quickly, through chip damage with your honey + bees or with your Swarm. This will quickly force them back and keep you ahead. You can build Glad first if you need the protections earlier.
Heartseeker. Self explanatory.
Sell Warrior's Blessing for new item. Jotunn's Wrath is a decent choice but many things can go here. By this point the build should be doing its job, so you can choose among a variety of things; Void Shield if you need protections, Berserker if you want more attack speed and protections, Cloaks if you're facing magic solo laners, or Brawlers if you need anti-heal (though build that before Crusher if your solo laner has high sustain). Build the next two slots based on enemy composition.
The final build can look like many different things. As said earlier, build the last two slots according to enemy composition after you get the ability-based attacks up and running.
In Solo, I rely heavily on the Hives to give my sustain, attack speed, and escapes. Good placed hives can help you outsustain an enemy, even with heavy poke. If they commit hard, you play it back, pop a health potion, and in combination with the hive, you're back on your feet in several moments.
Everything past LvL 9 is preferential. I like to max hives first asap, keeping my 2 strong enough to clear lane and Honey last. Its nice for poking them and keeping their health down but I don't rely on it until my build starts coming together.
PROS
+ Constant, stackable sustain and lane presence.
+ Good poke damage, dominates against warriors early game.
+ Early game bully lets you get more farm.
+ Poking melee players can aggro minions while you back away, letting your minions attack without damage, clearing faster and keeping your own minion integrity.
+ Playing safe or aggressive are both rewarding and fun.
CONS
- No escapes, can be bullied back if Jungler camps your lane.
- At risk of losing the Early Game and becoming useless if you don't get the farm.
- Teamfights can suffer without a proper warrior on the team, even if you build some protections and aura items.
