I've stopped getting Book of Thoth so early - I stack it in 3 minutes or less as my 4th or 5th item, no probs (in Arena, at least). But, I usually forgo it in any game mode unless I'm Kuku or something.
I also don't get Tahuti anymore - maybe in like 1 of 10 matches. I find its use limited - maybe not so much with Zeus coz Detonate is ur main dmg and you usually kill with it so... maybe it can work but much better so in Arena than in Conquest.
I rush Chrono's in Arena and keep peeling until I get Magus as 3rd and start killing. Then maybe lifesteal, if not - straight to Shaman's. Going into Soul Reaver and mixing a situational somewhere in between (anything between utility - like Gem of Iso or some defence - like Magi's/MoD or Nemean's if I'm having troubles with Loki).
Zeus is effing fun unless they have someone like Artio with a full-CC kit or a 1-2-shot Loki but that's why we get the situational item, I guess.

Tahuti is in there too early. You're potentially overcapping the penetration against squishies

Also you should really consider Book of Thoth as a possible option.

Arena, dude. I find it's easier to confirm the damage from Detonate Charge than it is from Chain Lightning and Aegis Assault is a good wave clear ability. That and I didn't want to fill out the whole thing because that would mean ensuring it was correct. I will add Thoth as an option.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
