Most people would build skill points on his 2 rather than his 1 first but personally, I land my 1 way more than the 2 so I find it more suitable. As most of you know it, Sobek has one of the best peel in the game. His 1 is capable of snatching gods into your carry or any damage dealer for a instant death wish. It can also help get rid of gods chasing your allies and send then flying back home. My only complaint on Sobek would be that his damage is relatively low except for his ult so don't expect to be able to run around and bruise people like what a ymir is capable of. Instead, Sobek specializes in team fights and he excels at them too. Even if they happen to have magi's blessing, you can easily blink into them and use your 2 which knocks off their magi's as it is indeed a cc ability and then proceed with your 1 from there. Since his damage is low, the abilities are used for other purposes.
1- Used for initiation, covering your allies, and straight up annoy them
2- Used to knock off magi's for a combo with 1, temperate knock up, and mediocre lane clear
3- Used for healing reduction debuff and healing
4- Used for chasing and slowing enemies, dealing decent damage, and mana recovery
Building damage on Sobek is not a good idea. Compared to other guardians, he has one of the lowest scalings and therefore it does not benefit much by building damage. Instead, items such as divine ruin can build upon his 3 for an insane healing reduction which devestates healers. If you are to build any damage on him, I suggest soul reaver as it combines well with his ult to deal tons of damage with its passive. My point being Sobek is not a damage tank and fulfills his role as a tank better than anything else.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
