Notes Magical defense is very important to combine with benevolence for increased ally healing. But as Athena, you should be popping ability combos frequently, strike, confound, walls. Olympus, walls, confound, strike. Mana hungry and time sensitive, you will love breastplate for this, and the Pridwen/ult combo is beautiful as well.

If she hits an enemy, Athena gains a stack (max 3), reducing the next source of Basic Attack damage from any god that hits her. Athena may also gain these stacks by hitting an enemy god with Reach, once per attack.

During that 3.6 seconds, both Athena and the allied god gain Damage Mitigation, and the allied god also gains Movement Speed. Enemies nearby when Athena lands take damage.

Understanding Athena

Athena is a scary support because of her ability to SECURE kills and ensure allies stay alive. Build supportive damage, and focus on taunting enemies as well as providing sneaky little boosts to allies.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
