Always Blessing This will protect you from early game. The damage that you will receive will not be compare as going damage. Plus You will still do damage no matter what. Since, we all know early game
With your passive at 10 stacks, this will improve your way to auto attacking the enemy faster. Both of them provides a really good early game, but there are only two choices I will recommend to follow :
If they have 3 assassins or ADC You should go (Hastened Katana) to provide speed chasing.
If they have warriors or defenders
Best choice is (Stone Cutting Sword) This will make you a powerful counter for any tankier that tries to punish you.
And boots because is good.
I'll like to explain why I pick armor as my 3rd Item. First, Set is completely strong at early game, but weak as well because of his health and no sustain at all. People will rather go "Lifesteal" and that's the first mistake. Remember our little friend called (Stun)? Yes, that will destroy you at early game. That's why I recommend both of this items as first defensive mechanism anti-gank or burst damage from any source.
The tricky part about Hide of the Urchin is once your done,it will help you out to start a fight and this will be an advantage for your teammates. You can jump in any early/mid game fights without worry about taking damage. You'll receive healing from your blessing and that will give an opportunity for your teammates to engage in any situation.
I know Gauntlet of thebes sounds like a crazy idea, but look at the good way. Once is done, you will provide armor to your teammates and yourself as well. You will take this as an advantage for you teammates to gank properly without getting that much damage from any source.
You'll have to look into the situation. Do they have a team of Assassins or ADC? Magicians hard crown control or annoying Guardians/Warrior? Depending on which situation you are, those 3 are my choices for you:
Void Shield: This will do a backup for your protection and will boost you from any surprise attack from the enemy team.
Ancile: This item is a life savior, why? This unleash a silence effect to the enemy team if they ever try to gank you with a powerful Magic effect. This will give you an only one chance to escape.
Qin's Sais: We all hate getting gank by bullies tanks. Well, this is a great chance to present the melter for tankers. This is gonna add a ton of damage to their maximum health, so they can kiss themselves a good bye.
Life steal is better to get at Mid-Game: Once you have the defense that you required to fight, everything seems easier.
Asi: Is a great advantage for your build. Once you seem to be in danger, the enemy team will charge to you, but what they don't know is that you can make a counter attack and burst your heals in a second. This item is situational, if the enemy team have magical or physical burst damage. This is a good item and it goes well with Void Shield
BloodForge: This item is awesome, but it has it weak point as well. You need to secured a kill, if the enemy team is running low. This will help you to chase a weak enemy and gain shield for a bit to escape any hard crowd control. You'll need Ancile for any magicians counter.
Soul Eater: More stacks I know, but look at the good way! It provides Mana, Lifesteal from any sources. Abilities(including Ultimate) and Basic attack. This will go well with,(Hastened Katana). Trust me, you will eat them haha! Lol.
For the replacement of your "Blessing", I'll suggest something strong against hard crowd control, burst damage, or maybe both resources of damage:
Shifter's Shield: This item is more likely for burst damage or counter attacks from a Physical attacker. This will prevent you from getting a deserve amount of damage you don't need for you health bar. Besides, it gives +35 Power and +15 protection. and it doubles your armory from both Magical and Physical. It's a good deal.
Spirit Robe & Bulwark of Hope have a few things in similar.
- Each one of them reduce the Crowd Control from a heavy damage dealer, but Bulwark gives shields. The other one gives damage migration. Spirit Robe I suggest you use this item if you want to chase the enemy or to start a fight. Bulwark is more likely a defense from a Burst magical damage, but it gives your shield for you to escape. You might used this item if your getting gank a several of times.

In the beginning of using Set as my Solo Laner, I started to realizing that he's very strong at early game. I figured that items doesn't make him strong, because he's strong already. However, stuns are your biggestenemy. Once you get stun, is game over. This build will make a change based on defensive mechanism to improve a 3v1, 2v1, or even 1v1 situation and this will keep you in the fight. I am Joust main and if you are as well, try this build out ;).

I'll suggest to use this build for Joust because I know 90% it works fine in it. But, I am agree about Gladiator's shield, you actually need it. Specially [Conquest mode]. Thanks for the help thoe. I'll add it on the build and give you credits from it man :).
