This is prolly best in slot for team fighting. You gain insane poke with your 2 when combining the dmg between bluestone, crusher and heartseeker. Get red pot late game for 40% CDR and you will have a ton of pen both flat and percentage, antiheal, poke and burst damage.
If you need to have trans in the build, swap beat stick for Trans
Trans 3rd item will be better than first because you can farm way faster when trans is item 3 and your early games is better
You may want to build heartseeker earlier depending on mana constraints. If you are running out of mana, earliest is to build it after hydras.
same as bluestone build but with bumbas instead watch your mana consumption
This build is if you would like to try a more sustain focus.
Serrated and Soul Eater are pretty nice to have for healing back up in the jg after fights or just healing in engagements that get dragged out a bit. Less effective if the enemy team builds anti heal so play with caution.
This build framework is a bit more versatile. Swap Brawlers for heart seeker if enemy team has no healers or swap crusher for serrated if enemy team has high raw defenses (i.e. they have heartward proph cloak sov combos.
You do not build jotunn's with this setup because you would be overcapping CDR by 10% and at that point soul eater is the better item even if you lose 10 power early game till its fully stacked.
Hi,
I am a 17 star Loki at the time of making this guide and hit Masters several times in duel maining Loki although a majority of my playtime with him has been in Conquest.
If you were to ask me what role Loki performs best in, the answer would be the role you are most comfortable in. If you play Loki Solo, your team comp will be down a tank, however, your goal is to one-shot squishy enemies and create 5v4 situations for your team. Punishing poor positioning should be your primary goal when making an impact with your team. If you play Loki Mid, you have the ability to have quick rotations and ganks. If you get ahead in farm of the enemy mid laner, you can burst them from the jungle quite easily. Loki ADC is an AFK farmer typically until levels 7-9 where you can kill the enemy ADC quite fast with just your 1 and some auto attack cancels. Loki Jungle is okay, with less fighting potential than most other Junglers levels 1-4 I don't really recommend playing him in jungle but as long as your team doesn't overcommit to fights and you play well off of their abilities you should have a smooth early game. Once you build bumbas, pay attention to your mana and you can run away with the game really quickly since auto attack cancels with your Bumbas hammer can shred everyone in the game including tanks.
There are plenty of modular builds to choose from. If you want explanations for when to build what and what items I would swap out in certain matchups and what I would be careful with, check the notes as I have included notes for each build order.
Please note that while these builds will help you get started with Loki, these builds are not 100% efficient into every single matchup and into every single god and every single player of different skill levels. Example if you are playing into a team comp with no healing whatsoever, you can swap out Brawler's for Trans, Bloodforge, Arondight, Souleater, or whatever item seems best given the matchup you are playing against, just don't get baited into building crit. It's a coin flip if you kill someone or not and Spectral Mail nukes your overall damage by 35% plus the mitigations since you have to give up penetration and other stats to fit in things like deathbringer and/or rage.
As far as threats are concerned, the only gods you will really have a tough time playing against even if you know what you are doing is gonna be Heim, Hou Yi, Cama, Horus, and Maman Brigette. Even with a strategy, these gods are frustrating because they all are armed with kits that can either track you in your invis and/or nuke you at point blank range. You can win the matchup but its a 30/70 type matchup and relies heavily on you being able to maneuver through their abilities and relics effectively. Other matchups that are challenging you can ignore fighting 1 on 1 and just farm and rotate and gank other lanes.
Outside of this, there really is no golden ticket for getting good at playing Loki, it will take a decent amount of time and muscle memory since the majority of your fights you take depend on knowing instinctually how much damage you are capable of doing.
