Vanish

1 X
Loki disappears in a puff of smoke. While invisible, he moves faster, removes Slow effects, and gains immunity to Slow effects. His next Basic Attack from stealth (or for 2s after) applies a bleed to his target, dealing damage every .5s and reveals Loki. If Loki takes damage while in stealth he will be revealed for .33s.

Ability Type: Melee Target

2 A
Loki summons a vision of his tortured past at a target location for 4s. Enemies in range of the vision feel the poison themselves, taking damage and having their Damage Dealt reduced. This effect stacks up to 4 times. If an enemy gets 4 stacks they become Blinded, allowing Loki to benefit from Behind You! from any direction for 3s.

Loki unleashes a flurry of 5 dagger strikes quickly in front of him, damaging and slowing enemies hit by 15% for 3 seconds. After this flurry he winds up for a final heavy strike that deals higher damage and slowing enemies hit by 30% for 3s. Loki cannot be knocked up while firing this ability. This ability can benefit from Behind You!

Introduction

Loki is in my opinion one of the strongest melee gods in the game. I would even go as far as the best AD. His incredibly hard hitting abilities allow him to 2-4 hit most gods. That is, if you build correctly. Speaking of which, a Death bringer is absolutely essential due to his amazing passive, which will give his critical hits a 70% damage increase (when behind). A common mistake I see with Loki is people building him with on-hit items. Such as: Qins, Frost bound, executioner, and brawlers beat stick. While some of these may seem like good items, they are not. With Loki your focus is PURE attack damage. If you cut out all of the ****py on hits, you can 1200 crit someone easily - possibly more than once.

My best piece of advice is to strictly avoid on-hit items!

Items

As you can see by the items, it is with my greatest respect that I tell you to avoid ANY on-hit items - they are simply not ideal for Loki. If you are feeling brave (and stupid) buy a heart seeker for that extra insanely op damage potential. Although the order is not necessary, it is necessary to get the death bringer as or before your 4th item. The sprint ability gives you that extra escape when your invisibility is on CD. Or you can use it in combo with your invisibility for a ridiculous speed boost to catch that pesky Agni.

Warrior Tabi: These should be an obvious buy, you need boots as Loki, considering you will be considered the kill securer of the team.

Jotunn's Wrath: This may seem to be a strange buy, however, there is literally no negative to this item as Loki. You get your much needed Cool down reduction, some extra mana; which is always a problem early game, and of course raw physical power.

Eye of Retaliation: Loki is an excellent turnaround god, this item improves that possibility for success by ten fold.

Death bringer: When playing Loki, this item CANNOT be passed up. This item is what makes Loki so feared.

Titans Bane: Yes, Loki is good at taking out mages, and other Ad's. But what about those tanks with 200 physical armor? This is where titans bane becomes useful.

Hydra's Lament: Upon going invisible, activating your aimed strike, AND getting 30% an extra 30% physical power, this weapon allows you to turn that 1200 crit, into a 1400 crit.

Although I don't recommend getting a heart seeker, it can quite literally allow you to 1v3 no problem. Heart seeker with Loki is just an unnecessary risk in my opinion, but if used right can be unforgiving.

Skills

Starting off with decoy allows you and your lane partner much better early creep clearing capabilities, especially if you're with; let's say an Odin, while they all aggro your decoy he can 3 them and basically half health the entire wave. However, Vanish is your next priority as it is a guaranteed escape until level 5. From this point on, your only goal is to max out aimed strike and level your ultimate whenever possible. Although Vanish does more damage (I believe) Aimed strike is much more centered around your item build, and it's instant damage rather than damage that can be healed before it takes full effect. After you max out Aimed strike, Vanish, and Decoy are the next ones on the list. All while leveling your ultimate whenever possible.

Pros / Cons

PROS:

    MASSIVE nuke damage
    1v1 is Loki's strong point
Able to chase gods using his ult
Has 2 fantastic escapes (including his ult)

CONS:
Mana is a major problem early on
Quite average damage until death bringer
Clearing capability lacks until mid game
    Squishy!

Tips and Tricks

1. Loki's Decoy ability has collision, if aimed properly; it can enable you to block someones movement for a short time, It could be just enough to catch up and get the kill.

2. Got a runner? That's where Loki is at his best, running from Loki is about as useful as running from an Ares ultimate.

3. Loki's ultimate doubles as a fantastic escape mechanism. That 15-0 Odin got you in his ult? Counter it by using yours and getting the hell out of there.

4. Loki is amazing at 1v1. That Kali trying to brawl you? Maneuver behind that hoe and insta crit her.

5. Loki excels at "Kill securing." If a half dead freya is backing behind her tower, ult 3 combo her; she will most likely die. If not use your vanish to escape the tower faster.

6. Loki's ultimate breaks rules! Loki can ult Freya during her ult (with damage). It can also be used to detect an invisible enemy Loki so you can get the edge not him.

To be continued.

Unfortunately the items on this site are outdated (at least they are in the post creator). I will be adding more information on Loki and his teamwork, jungling, and ranked play capabilities. I will also be doing several other god guides.

Ah, that is very good my friend.

When you see me on the other side of the mountain, then, it is time to see if you're truly worthy...

(AKA Waiting for that visual update so I could review it by then.)

That is also what I do, it isn't very wise to engage with the ultimate, unless you are certain it will kill. However, the vanish/strike combo does about the same damage.

I do plan on making this guide much more visually appealing as well as creating more guides whenever I can find the time. Thanks for all the feedback!

I actually tend to use Ultimate as a backup plan, already ganking with his first and third skill takes down 1/3 of the enemy's health roughly. And usually people will be in shock and stay still for a while allowing more hits. I use my ultimate always as a backup plan or a counter to whoever god that caught me retreating after getting a kill.

Attack speed never seems to be a problem for me. I play Loki as a hard hitting 2-3 hitter. Usually the combo seems to be enough to do the job, if not they are running and you should get a decent crit. If you want heart seeker, get it instead of Hydra's. I wouldn't recommend Qins with Loki, the passive is wasted on him. If you really want attack speed, I'd really only say Fatalis is valid, this would give you the ability to essentially run down anyone if your combo didn't kill them. And I'm glad you like it Spy!

That itself depends on the situation of when and what time to grab it.

I just tried it and really like it but it's missing attack speed. Maybe you should replace one item with an attack speed item.

I will try this out tomorrow and give you my opinion on it. Until then try to add more information like combos and stuff. Also if I would buy the heartseeker, which item should I replace it for? I'm also wondering about attack speed and such, other builds tell you to buy stuff that gives you ton of attack speed and crit chance. Can this build match that?
