Alrighty then, I am new to Smitefire and have used it for a few God Builds, and wanted to share one I had come up with (because why not, plus it'll be good to receive some feedback to make it more effective/Efficient)
So to start, I personally love playing as Odin, his abilities are very good and his Ultimate lends him power most Gods can only hope for (Although it's only temporary, and VERY short-lived)
He's great at being a Damage-dealer and a Tank, and is overall fun to play. I have never really been good at Tanking in Smite, so I opt for Damage.
First things you'll need to make ANY build even half-good; ITEMS!
Due to the nature of this build, his items will lend him very little (to nothing) in terms of Defense, so if you die a lot, blame me all you want.
First item: Devourer's Gauntlet. This adds some really nice stat bonuses, alongside 60 Stacks of pure Power and Lifesteal, so you can survive some fights (and even heal off Creeps/Jungle Mobs if you have enough, so you leave the Fray with more than you entered with!) Farming Jungle Creeps/Lane Creeps is the best way to rack up Stacks, mostly due to the very low chances of you dying against them due to the Increasing Lifesteal and Power you gain from each stack.
Second Item: Hastened Fatalis. This item is the Mainstay of your Attack Speed and your ability to keep attacking a Moving Target. It's passive, upon a successful Basic Attack, removes the Movement Speed debuff from you for 1 Second, meaning you can chase that pesky god all day so long as you connect your attacks and can keep up with them. That, alongside the 30% attack speed bonus, is a MASSIVE help to Odin in Battle. Also grants a 10% Movement Speed boost, to slightly offset the lack of any type of Boots in this build.
Third Item: Qin's Sais. Of course, this build uses this to speed up the God kills, it also provides Attack Speed for Odin, It also provides 30 Power. Most, if not all, builds benefit greatly from this item.
Fourth Item: The Executioner. This item is here for the Extra Attack Speed and power, and reduces your target's Physical Protection by 8% upon a successful Basic Attack, just to make the prey easier to kill. This item is what I personally put here, you can swap this one out for something better if you think it'll provide better benefit, but It's mainly here for Attack Speed.
Fifth item: Jotunn's Wrath. I put this here mostly for it's Passive, which reduces your Cooldowns by 25%, and also provides 50 Power, 11 Physical Penetration, and 150 Mana (Odin is very Mana Hungry, the Mana is of great help)
Sixth Item: Bloodforge. I put this here mostly for it's Lifesteal benefit (20%), it's Passive grants you +5 Physical power and +2% Lifesteal for each Successful Basic Attack you do (Max 5 Stacks, meaning +25 Power and +10% more Lifesteal, Stacks reset after 4 Seconds of non-combat)
Active Items: Anything you want, I personally go with Teleport to Gods and Aegis Pendant.
Aegis Pendant for Nu Wa's Ultimate or to escape while low on HP, Gods Teleport to get far from the base quickly. Replace these as you see fit, with whatever you think will provide convenience or benefit.
Odin has a nice Skillset. He has an Escape/Jump Attack, a Buff that adds Attack Speed to him and nearby Allied Gods and Creeps, a Slowing Ability that works on Enemy Gods, and his Ultimate: The Bane of all Gods without a form of Jump Attack/Combat Blink.
Passive: Birds Of Wisdom - Minimap Range increased by 50%.
This really helps if you decide to go into the Jungle, and pretty much makes you a Walking Ward (of sorts). It's also good if you decide to go Scouting for enemy Gods in the Jungle, because you can see them before they see you.
First Ability: Lunge
Type: Ground Targets
Affects: Enemy Gods
Radius: 20
Damage: 140/180/220/260/300 (+40% Physical power)
Cost: 70/75/80/85/90
Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11s
This ability can be used to go Into Battle, or to escape from Battle, and is also good for finishing weakened Creeps/Gods, or simply closing a Gap. Or, bet yet, combine with your Ultimate to leave all the enemies trapped within a Ring they cannot escape from (until it expires, at least)
Second Ability: Odin's Shout
Type: Buff
Affects: Allies
Radius: 35
Attack Speed: 15/25/35/45/55%
Lifetime: 5s
Cost: 60
Cooldonw: 13s
Great to combine with Ring of Spears, since it grants you such a big boost to Attack Speed, it'll topple any God who dares stand before you! I typically leave this until I HAVE to level it up (last), as I tend to focus on the other Active Abilities.
Third Ability: Gungnir's Might
Type: Area
Affects: Enemies
Radius: 20
Damage, 1st Hit: 40/65/90/115/140 )+40% Physical power)
Damage, 2nd Hit: 50/80/110/140/170 (+60% Physical power)
Slow: 20/25/30/35/40%
Slow Duration: 2s
Passive HPS: 3/6/9/12/15 HPS
Cost: 65/70/75/80/85
Cooldown: 12s
This is your PRIORITY ONE Ability, since it gives Odin HPS, which is a VERY good Buff to have, and it's even active during the Ability Cooldown. I ALWAYS level this to Max ASAP. You should, too, but that's just my recommendation. It's very good to have, and very effective when you are chasing a God.
Ultimate Ability: Ring of Spears
Type: Area
Affects: Self
Radius: 30
Protections: 25/40/55/70/85
Power: 35/55/75/95/115
Movement Speed: 15%
Cost: 100
Cooldown: 75s
Odin's Ultimate, and the Bane of all with no means of travel aside from foot. This is your Deathbringer! Your Destroyer! The thing that makes you Judge, Jury, AND Executioner! Your Bull-Fighting Cape! Your... you get the idea...
This is the equivalent to the Brutal legend solo "Light Of Dawn", being it gives you Power to resist Movement Debuffs, Immunity to CC, and even increases your power! Sure, it doesn't last as Long, nor is it a weather effect, nor is it created by playing a kick-*** solo on your Guitar, but it's a good substitute! Calling forth the Spear Ring makes you EXTREMELY powerful, combined with Hades' Ultimate, it can really spell pain for the enemy (since very few Gods have abilities that allow escape from Hades' Ultimate, this will block the paths of those who DO have such an ability!)
Combined with Odin's Shout to increase your Attack Speed, you can make truly short work of an enemy god in the Ring. Or, you can leave them in there as you Lunge to safety (and laugh as they are trapped)
Or, to be a REAL cruel person, trap them within the Ring while Inside your Tower's attack range. And be sure to get attacked, then leap out, so the Tower gets a free kill (love your towers, people!)
PROS:
Attack speed Late-game
Deadly in the right hands (or while used with the right Keyboard)
It's Odin
Good Lifesteal
Odin's Taunt
Max attack speed of 2.36 (with Odin's Shout rank 5 active)
INSANE power while inside the Ring of Spears
Can Jungle to some degree
CONS:
Squishy
Low Defense outside his Ring of Spears (even then, it's rather low)
bad early-game
No Crits
Slow early-game
Early-game in general
I made this guide
I can't think of any other Pros that aren't "it's Odin"
You need a lot of Gold to buy everything
Ragnarok
So, in Summary, this Build is just hat I came up with, don't follow it to the exact letter if you don't want to. The Executioner and the two Actives are just what I thought would be convenient/beneficial to Odin.
This is the first ever Build/Guide I have ever considered making for a God, mostly snatching Builds from here for in-game use to see if they fit my play-style.
Thanks for reading the massive text wall I call a "guide"

Oh alright. I had forgone the boots for the reason they take a Slot that can offer greater Benefit. Since the build focuses heavily on the Attack Speed and Power (Which the Warrior Tabi offers both of, plus Movement speed). There are better Alternatives, in my eyes at least, to Boots.
The Hastened Fatalis makes up, partially, for the lack of Boots with its 10% Movement Speed buff, though that's secondary to the main reason it's here in the first place (still, better than no speed boosting items) I won't deny that Boots are indeed very useful, though I personally tend to use them only in the early-mid game, and trade them out for something better near the end. Boots aren't really "Essential" to me, just a useful early-mid game speed buff.
If you need extra Movement Speed, Greater Sprint is a good Active Item, but this build is what I personally go for, there's no need to follow it to the letter. Switch things up, swap items for others, and otherwise experiment to tweak it to your tastes and Play-style (assuming it's near what this build is designed for, at least)
I excel at making walls of text, so sorry if your eyes bleed after reading this. Plus I suck at explaining things, so this may not make all the sense it needs to.
Um, no. Boots are ESSENTIAL. You lack so much in this build; all you really have is base damage, attack speed and lifesteal; no defence, speed or crit. There is no way you'd be able to stick to people with this build unless they too didn't get them, which is EXCEEDINGLY unlikely.
Also, what the hell kind of role are you trying to play here? Odin functions as a support, solo or jungle, however none of these roles are catered to by this build.
Solo; not enough resistance to mean anything in team fights, which are a core part of odin's lifeblood.
Support; Nothing in the way of defence, speed, or HOG 3, all of which are more than needed in this role.
Jungle; Not enough speed to gank efficiently, no crits for late game damage.
Overall, I think this build is pretty terrible. It sacrifices so much for so little, and you would only be useful in 1v1 engagements, which odin is often terrible at. Spend more time getting to know the mechanics of smite before revisiting this build, it could use SERIOUS improvements.
I think he meant why no Boots, which is pretty odd, boots are kind of... essential.

I'm going to assume you meant "Pots", and yeah, that's an oversight, sorry about that.
I'll rectify that as I update the guide as a whole, thank you for pointing that out.

@Devampi: BBcode I'm not all too familiar with, so thank you for the Link Devampi, I'll read that in the coming days.
Regarding your comment on my Skill Order, it was intended to max out Gungnir's Might as fast as it could, so to get the full benefit of the HPS it grants, and Odin's Shout is certainly useful, that's not up for dispute, but I tend to work on the Direct Damage abilities first. Some help with the Skill Order and what would be recommended for this Build would be mightily appreciated.
@Riomhaire: Thank you for the Template, I'll look at that for sure.
@Stuke99: Thanks for the comment, and I'll use the BBcode guide link that Devampi posted to better highlight important information. Gameplay/Teamwork sections are missing as I was unsure of what to put in them, as I continue to play the build and smooth some things out, such as the SKill Order, I'll try and update it with the missing sections, be it in part or whole.
@windmasters: I simply oput Teleport to Gods in there because trekking across the map can get Tedious, and there may be another Teammate who is at the other end needing urgent backup with the Pheonix/Towers (or anything else), so that's it's main purpose here. I like the idea for the Surprise Cages, I'll employ that and see how it turns out.
Also, use Code Blue if you want to find excellent templates. Just remember to give credit to the template creator.
Hope this helps.
uhm you could have looked at the link I provided because that was the same guide
Hope this helps.
I'm not a fan of lifesteal (except asi) on warriors (I like them as bruisers with defensive items) and teleport to gods is also not an very usefull active in the game (Okay you can teleport to any ally but there are better actives instead of that one) I'm not going further on the build because I don't play odin that much.
uhm your skill order is impossible. I think you put the points that needed to go in Odin's Shout in Gungnir's Might by accident. you should fix that easily.
well you can remove the wall of text by adding some bbcoding (Icons double brackets etc) see this BBcoding guide for thigns to make your guide less wall-of-texty
hope this helps you a bit (and in the future)
