I have been running this build since the beginning of Odin before the change to his number 3 ability and it has not let me down yet. The build is a little unconventional with Ancile but trust me it works. Here is how to utilize the build.

The main difference in the starts depends on whether or not you will be needing to hold a lane with someone with weak lane clear so that you don't lose out on levels like in a joust or siege vs. a damage start so that you hit harder earlier.

The purpose of this build is to essentially provide the initial burst damage that your team needs to for any high damage aoe's so that your team can land multiple god wipes. You will be constantly ranging on deaths door and managing mana so be prepared to always be thinking on your feet, have and exit strategy before every fight and manage cooldowns carefully.

Start the game conservatively because you will eat through mana quickly but wait for opportunities for the other gods to overextend and then use your shield first then jump onto the enemy team. This should cause a large amount of damage early so that your Damage dealers can clean up. If you think multiple gods can be killed then drop your ult. Ancile should do good work here because the second you take initial damage a 1 second aoe silence is applied to limit escapes and give your team a 1 sec headstart on damage. The trick is to try to get as many kills in your ring as early as you can so that you snow ball.

After the initial engagement your job is to either jump back out if you take too much damage or secure the kill by using your spear to stun anyone attempting to escape. If your stun is on cool down use your heavenly wings and horrific emblem to close the distance and let mystical mail continue to chip at their health until your shield/jump combo is off cooldown or your spear is off cooldown. Late game your focus should be on attempting to secure weak kills in your ring by doing high damage with your basic and critting when you can.

Pair this build with other gods who can root, silence or do aoe damage for maximum utilization. Always look for opportunities to secure kills through ganks where possible through walls or lanes.

Hope this build works for you. Have fun.
