In my opinion, Arachne uses Leather Cowl very well for a jungler, and is very fun for passive utility. In the jungle, you're generally alone darting from camp to camp until you gank or until you meet an enemy in the jungle. The speed buff comes in very handy in the early game, at the cost of some sustain. However your first four camps are usually gonna be taken with the Solo, so as long as you aren't tanking every camp you don't even really need the sustain.
Manikin's and Bumba's are both safer options, however.
These items should make their way into most of your builds. If one is left out, should be a good reason for it.
Items that are strong on Arachne and can easily tie a build together.
This is my favorite build as it utilize's the Hunter's Cowl's passive well. It gives plenty of attack speed to secure my kit, with Golden Blade to secure camps and Hastened Katana to stick to players easier. The rest of this kit is utility, power items, or crits. Its a build I have tons of fun with.

Also in your "Favourite build" you have Deathbringer as your only source of Crit 25% - and a Jotuuns?
Try going for a full AA Pen build.
And yes, Deathbringer is my only crit item if I decide to build crit. But a lot of this build is flexible around what I call the "core" for this. Consider it less of a core build for Arachne, I'm not good enough at Arachne to consider it, but I consider them core items for this variation of builds I use. I'll be adding more as I experiment.
I'm pretty liberal with my 3 and use it a lot for space control or helping with minion waves, or slowing another target while I pick off someone. Hastened helps with that.
