Persephone summons an explosion at a target location that places 3 Harvest Skulls. She can activate these Harvest plants with her Basic Attacks. When the Skulls are activated she restores health to herself. After 4s the Skulls turn into Harvest Flowers. When activated these Flowers charge forward in the direction hit, biting any target that gets close. Enemies recently bitten take reduced damage from other bites, stacking 3 times. She can have up to 5 / 5 / 6 / 6 / 7 Harvest Plants out at any time.

Extended Build

Alternates/Situational

Notes Can swap these out for Doom Orb, or even for Rod of Tahiti.
- Gen of Isolation loses the penetration, but the slow can be a huge factor in team fights and chases (whether your team is chasing or being chased).
- Divine Ruin's 15 straight penetration is roughly equivalent of Doom's 10%, but you're trading the AOE proc with a loss of extra movement (and higher power).
- Spear of the Magus adds some lifesteal and the extra 5% damage taken proc, but loses the extra movement.
- Pestilence purely for anti-heal, note it has both an aura for all enemies in range of 25%, and then reduces healing further by 5% per hit when you are damaged, up to 30% total.

While anti-heal might be worth it if the other team is building it, Persephone is not really built to duke it out with a hunter built for lifesteal with this build, beyond dumping all her abilities quickly.

Persephone - Nature's Revenge

This build focuses on getting max Cooldown and % Penetration. It ends up with 40% CD, 15 direct and 40% penetration, with a high magical power. In addition, choices favor additional movement speed, which always comes in handy to reduce time running places on the map and give the edge chasing or escaping. It also gets a small amount of healing and lifesteal from Soul Gem.

To achieve this balance, many normal build items build for straight damage are dropped, such as Book of Thoth and Soul Reaver. While those are legit builds, the optimization here is focusing more on True Damage and movement speed. As the build focuses on abilities, the 40% CD is critical, but to get other utilities we also drop Chronos' Pendant as an option, and stick to Pendulum of Ages as our starter item. We want to stick to Ages anyway as once it is upgraded at level 20, with 100% mana, it gives a total 130 power, which is one of the higher (if not the highest) items in the game for individual magical power.

One could build Soul Gem before Spear of Desolation if the healing is preferred a little earlier. Or Doom Orb 3rd if movement speed is more important than Cooldown. I prefer leaving Charon's 2nd to give more chance of proc'ing it, but since it starts with no movement speed at all, I could also see building Doom Orb 2nd to get the movement quicker. That said Doom Orb is expensive, and that's another good reason to build it a bit later.
