Hey guys SeneschalBlitz here bringing you my first Ra build to the table of SMITE. Ra is a very strong god that not only does damage, but can also heal. His 2 is his special type of cc, Blind, that can help you kite around sticky situations while also supporting your team. Ra's 1 and 4 are his big hit abilities capable of taking a whole team out if timed and executed correctly. Since SMITE has the unique aspect to basic attacks (skill shot), his 3 is very useful in that it can heal Ra, so if you are fighting an assassin or an ADC you can pop his 3 and dodge basic attacks while restoring your HP all at once.
Pros:
-Good sustain
-High Damage
-Relatively Low CD (shortest ult CD of all magi)
-Excellent Pushing Capabilities
-Easy to learn
Cons:
-His big hit abilities are skill shots, so they can be hard to land if you aren't experienced with them
-Very Squishy Late Game
Starting Items:
Starting with uncommon sash and vamp shroud is something I always do on most of the magi I use because I want to upgrade to Warlock's Sash as quick as possible to get stacks. It leaves you with no gold to spend on pots or rank 1 actives at the start, but in early game if you can keep up your minion kills and watch jungle for ganks you shouldn't need pots(especially since Ra's 3 can heal you pretty well anyways).
Plus uncommon sash gives you an additional 100 HP.
Essential Items:
Shoes of Focus, Warlock's Sash, and Rod of Tahuti are great early game items for basically any magi. The power output of these items will crush any opponent you may have. Keep adding stacks to your Warlock's and you should be set from there.
Late Game Items:
These items can be bought in any order you see fit, depending on how your game is going. If you feel like you aren't healing as much from your 3 as you want, build Pythagorem's Piece for that nice lifesteal. If you notice the enemy team going super tanky or the tanks are just giving you "Hel", build Obsidian Shard for that 33% magical penetration. And last but not least if your going ham just feed more power to the sun and build soul reaver.
Actives:
For me, I always build an Aegis Pendant on Ra. If your health goes low just pop 3 and activate Aegis and your back to 75% hp. It also helps you counter ults such as Freya, Nu Wa, Thanatos, etc.
Greater Providence will help you early game to watch for gank set ups. It also Helps late game to watch Gold Fury and Fire Giant. In addition it may even help you land your skill shots.
I only build Shielded Recall when im solo lane, not mid. It is just a nice convenience to protect your tower and gain the upper hand in lane.
Greater Sprint is a nice active to have when facing gods such as Apollo and Thor which have hard escapeability.
Improved purification is a great active to build when you are being bombarded by heavy cc's. Nuff said.
