Damage focused variation:
Heartseeker > Spirit Robe > Arondight > Mail of Renewal > Runeforged > Jotunn's
Replacing Mail of Renewal with Caduceus is great when you have a healer or other self healers, especially if someone built Rod of Asclepius.
Replacing Runeforge and Jotunn's with Transcendence and Winged Blade helps you deal with slows, and trades some pen for higher power to focus squishies.
For longer game modes, Bumba's Hammer is an obvious choice, and frees up some of your item choices. All variations of this build work extremely well with Bumba's Hammer but I don't like how long I have to wait for the last 20% CDR. If you have the gold at level 20, sell 20% of your CDR (or Jotunn's if that's what you're using) and enjoy your practically 0s cooldown 1.
Defensive variations:
Heartseeker > Spirit Robe > Arondight > Gladiator's > Genji's > Sledge.
Max CDR (plus Genji passive) and CCR. Extra damage to <60% health enemies to secure kills.
Kusari can replace Genji's, and Runeforged or Frostbound can replace Sledge. The CCR from Sledge is super valuable, but the debuffs from Frostbound, or the extra damage from Runeforged can make all the difference based on the situation.
This build is less fleshed out but has potential. In the middle of a fight, even with max CDR, your ability cooldowns seem to take forever (with the exception of your 1). All the variations of this build take in to account that you will need to use basics to get things done sometimes, this one more so. This version of Ravana feels more like an assassin. Get in then get out, or die.
Crit based variation:
Kusari > Malice > Wind Demon > Spirit Robe > Heartseeker > Arondight
Kusari is a good item to start with. Malice and Wind Demon are core for the crit version but their order isn't as important. I still like Spirit Robe for the damage mitigation and CDR I think it's perfect for Ravana. Heartseeker is core as well, if you're getting max CDR you'll want it, only possible other switch would be a health focused build with Animosity, but I prefer Bumba's Hammer if you're going to use a starter.
Non-crit variation:
Genji's > Heartseeker > Ichaival > Spirit Robe > Jotunn's > Executioner.
Qin's in place of Executioner to shred tanks. I'm sure I'll get some hate for having Heartseeker and Qin's but **** it, it works.

This won't be an in-depth guide, and it's far from comprehensive, just explaining the concept of the build and you can take it from there and make it your own.
This build is focused on ability damage and sustain, but peppering in basic attack boosters work well too since you should be at least getting the two quick punches in between ability casts. He's good at skirting the edge of a teamfight, or quick in and outs to dump your kit, and doesn't have to return to fountain as much, just self-heal off a row of minions. I use my ult to chase 2+ low health enemies, to initiate 2nd (after another teammate initiates, if the enemies group together), and sometimes as an escape since it makes you cc immune (the CD isn't that bad, and it doesn't feel like a waste since your just utilizing it defensively for the leap and mitigations).
