Sentinels Gift might just be the best starter. The extra gold gains can put you way ahead of the enemy team Item wise, which can swing matches pretty hard in your favor. Even if doing your typical hunter ADC build with atk spd. Granted you can't buy an upgraded starter besides SG's, but you can just change SG out later and if you made enough gold your build can be done and changed out SG before lvl 20. Granted you still need to change your boots out if the game goes long enough.
As a tank you will want your 2 and 3 abilities maxed, as your dmg is going to be a little low anyway.
At first your dmg is okay but you are still squishy until you get Sov and HA. You become much tankier as the game goes on, and very dangerous CC throwing tank at that. Use your abilities correctly to keep ppl off your dmg. Your 1 can help throw off their aim and zone, your 2 zones and taunts + small heal, your 3 use it right on top of the enemy so you get the -20% dmg reduc, plus it slows their movement, and ofc your Ult to escape or to stun/engage.
Trade out boots for Mantle or W/e might be needed to counter enemy team.
the 9% dmg mitigation from Oni's stacks with Danz 3 for 29% reduced basic atk dmg great for boxing carries.
If against heavy crits pick up Spectral Armor instead of BV.
All of these are for different situations, if you can't figure it out idc.
Pretty obvious what this build is about.
2 and 3 should be max before 1 and 4, your choice on how you want to level them.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Looks like a lot of fun for a mess around in casuals though 👍
Though I was serious in my note about Sentinels Gift. Even with an ADC build, the gold gains are pretty crazy and can put you a head item wise, and have everything but spd pot before lvl 20 complete. If ofc you are getting the assists, works well in duo and arena because it is ez to get the extra gold for assist's.
