After careful consideration, I’ve decided my previous build, which I’ve tried to remove but cannot because once builds are published, they cannot be deleted, I’ve come up specifically with a much better and improved build for Nu Wa. I already got downvotes immediately for my older build. I can’t impress everyone, I guess. But it is whatever. I just want to share builds I like for my favorite Mage. Some may like it, some may not, but I don’t care. Anyways, I call this my “Tear Them A Nu Wa” build. Basically, with this build the goal is to aim for as much Magical Power as I can possibly reach, with a little bit of Magical Lifesteal and a moderate amount of Attack Speed and chance of penetration. So as I was testing out this new build in Arena Training mode, I’ve noticed you start off with 1500 Gold in mostly all modes. Therefore, I start off with Sands of Time, Lost Artifact, the Bracer of Radiance relic for increased damage above half health & a Vision Shard for detecting enemies early game. The consumables I start off with are 5 Multi Potions
With this full build, you get so much Magical Power, almost close to the 900 cap, roughly equaling to 755. Sometimes in game modes, particularly Conquest & Arena, I find that I have so much Gold, because my team ends up getting so many kills on enemy Gods and Jungle Monsters. In the event that I don’t get to fully finish my build, I mostly buy Potion of Power after reaching Level 10 & above to further increase my Magical Power damage output. Very often, though, I always end up finishing my builds, even in Arena mode. In my final build, once reaching Level 12 & above, I upgrade the Vision Shard to Bracer of Illumination, to deal increased damage alongside allies when above half health and provide enemy detection. Potion of Power is especially good if using Nu Wa’s ultimate ability on enemy Gods with critically low health. Not only that, the effects of Potion of Power persist for 5 minutes or until you are killed and they all stack considerably well. I’ve had a few Arena & Slash games where we ended up with plenty of Gold and my build was 💯 percent completed. From that point on, I just continued buying Potions of Power until the matches were finished. This is quite viable in Conquest mode, even Slash, where the duration of the match tends to exceed longer than expected and you are more likely farming so much Gold and end up finishing your build. Personally, this build is my all-time favorite Nu Wa build. Nu Wa is certainly my God of choice
From my numbers calculations, with these 4 specific core items built alongside the fully upgraded Starter at Level 20, you will end up dealing MASSIVE Magical Damage. This will prove particularly effective with Nu Wa’s ultimate, Fire Shards. Also works if you chain combo Clay Soldiers together with Shining Metal. The damage for all items in the final build scales up to 755 [900]
I chose the Calamitous Rod of Tahuti Glyph over the Perfected Rod of Tahuti (Perfected’s glyph effect is more cooldown reduction based) because not only does it raise up the magical damage, you have a chance to call upon a meteor strike in a short radius with each successful hit of your abilities every once in a while. I can see this working in Nu Wa’s favor considerably well. For example, I could be in combat with my team and throw down Clay Soldiers, damaging an enemy God, then a second later call upon a meteor strike landing within a few meters. To be specific, it lands within a 15 meter radius, occurring every 30 seconds. This can also definitely combine extremely well with the Fire Shards
I almost always use Bracer of Radiance for increased damage when above half health and to assist my allied Gods, since this relic also acts as a Sentry Ward. Once I’ve gotten a chance to fully upgrade the relic, I go for Bracer of Illumination for the extra effect of using a light sprite to detect nearby enemies. For the secondary relic, I go for Belt of Frenzy to further increase allies’ damage output, and once it’s fully upgradable, I choose Belt of the Berserker
Although I start with 5 Multi Potions, Potion of Power is my go-to consumable in all modes. I always tend to buy these potions whenever I Recall or head back to the fountain ⛲️ however, it is totally optional. My team helps me earn so much extra Gold, I figure I’d spend it on them once hitting Level 10 & above. I personally love the red potions 🧪
If you have plenty of Gold left over, feel free to buy these Potions of Power to increase your Magical Power. It is totally up to you, though. In modes such as Slash, Conquest, Joust etc. you should have a lot of Gold, depending on the performance of your teammates. Sometimes you get randoms that don’t even know what the hell they are doing or just end up running off dying, not taking their time being careful and coordinating effectively and throwing the game then giving up and surrendering. As long as you know how to play your chosen God (another issue people seem to have, where they just end up picking Gods they know nothing about and playing like complete trash 🗑️), shouldn’t be an issue. Lucky for me, I master Nu Wa extremely well
